Hi, it's me again!I wanted to share some of my thoughts and plans with you.

Ever since I started creating my stories in a new format, I’ve noticed that I’ve been feeling much more exhausted. Maybe it’s burnout, maybe it’s because the number of renders has increased, or maybe it’s simply because I haven’t taken a proper break in a long time… or maybe it’s all of that combined.

In any case, I’ve come to a few conclusions:

Taking 2–3 days off between comic releases isn’t enough to rest and recharge. I often feel like a squeezed lemon by the time I start working on a new story.

Since I don’t create maps and environments from scratch myself, it takes a lot of time to find assets that actually match the setting of each scene.

I can’t always bring the ideas in my head to life through renders. You wouldn’t believe how many scenes I’ve had to abandon because they simply couldn’t be recreated in the software I use.

Based on all this, I’ve decided to do a few things:

Take a break. Don’t worry, it won’t be a full month—I don’t want to leave you without any new stories for too long :) I’ll be taking time off until August 18th. I want to enjoy the last month of summer and recharge for the upcoming comics.

Try a new format.

And before the end of this year, I hope to surprise you with something special. If it works out, my renders will reach an entirely new level—one that will free me from many of my current limitations. But I won’t get ahead of myself… For now, I’ll just say I hope it works out :)

As for the new format:The current comic series “The Missing” will continue in its usual manga-style format—no changes there.

But I’ll also release a pilot comic in the new format to see how you feel about it. The new style will be more like a light novel: key scenes will be illustrated with image + text, and everything else will be told purely through writing.

Many of you already know how deeply I can describe a character’s sensations—not just emotionally, but also physically (yes, those too 😉). This format will save me a lot of time and energy, while giving you a more immersive experience—one that lets you truly feel what the main character feels… with all the colors, tastes, and even scents 😉.

And that’s just a small part of what might be coming if everything goes well. But all these experiments, plans, and thoughts… they’re all for one reason—you.I’m looking for ways to keep going without burning out.Ways to keep doing what I love.Ways to stay connected—with you, with my characters, and with the stories I pour myself into.

This turned out a lot longer than I expected—sorry about that. But I’ve been thinking about all this for months, and it took time to gather my thoughts and put them into words.

That’s all for now.I love you all, and I’m incredibly grateful for your support, your interest in my stories, and your patience.I never imagined my characters and stories could become a part of someone else’s life… but they have.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart. 💖

As long as you keep cooking, you can take take all the breaks you need. Regarding the new format, I think it will be interesting to see a story in this style.

i can't wait to see what you planned for us. Have a good rest you need that <3

I actually like the previous format more because in the new format the text bubble blocks the picture, and I have a feeling that the new format has a smaller and less clear picture than previous one (maybe I just like big pictures, they are beautiful, so I would vote against having less pictures.) I understand that it takes quite some efforts to make pictures so taking breaks sounds totally fine to me. I'd rather wait more for the nice work to come out.

I understand the need to take a vacation; it's perfectly normal, and you've earned it. As for the new format with an emphasis on writing, I must admit that I'm not a fan of the direction. Yes, writing is your strong suit, but that doesn't necessarily mean you should focus almost exclusively on it. When you first started out, I was hooked on your creations because you know what we want to read, you know how to describe thoughts and construct very good stories, but at the time you were doing an average of 70+ pages of renders per release, I checked, and nowadays you say that the number of renders has increased, when there are only about 25-30 per release, which confuses me. Your descriptions are very well written, but I believe that removing the images or keeping them only for the major scenes is a mistake. I think you are focusing on the wrong issue. I'd like to make a suggestion. As you pointed out, a huge problem is finding the right setting/setup for your story. That's where the solution lies. You say you're wasting precious time finding the right setting, so please go back to what you were doing before, which was ideal. You had very simple settings that varied very little, and that wasn't a problem because we could focus on your writing and the characters. My favorite scenes only have two characters on/under a sofa or in a hallway for 30 renders; only the camera angle and the writing change. Recently, the sets have been extremely elaborate, with every detail very realistic. You can almost count the splinters on a bench, but let's be honest, that's not why we're here. So if we need to focus on the essentials, the writing and the characters' actions, I think it would be much better to simplify the sets as in the past than to remove the images and keep only the writing, except for a few scenes.

Trust me, the layout combining text and images will definitely save energy. At the same time, it can depict the story in more detail, and the content will be more abundant. Looking forward to your new work.
