lol you guys cracked me up with the discussion. But I think the accident is in his head cause ain't no way they made such a sad as story, so I'm holding out hope until the last episodes. I refuse to believe they did this to us.

I’ve seen this theory that Ji Hyun is a fabrication of Jae Won’s mind floating around online and I can’t for the life of me understand where it comes from. I mean, there’s absolutely nothing in the show that would even suggest something like this. Also, we’ve seen Ji Hyun having a life and interacting with people that are not connected with Jae Won. As far as I understand it, hallucinations can’t do that… can someone explain to me the basis for this theory?

same the only thing I might say he imagined was the drowning because it's a nightmare. However, if it turns out everything was fake the writers ae cruel for that like we can't have one good thing. Why does it need to end in tragedy?

My guess is the accident did happen and Ji Hyun ends up fine or Jae Won was just picturing it happening because of whatever happened to his brother. Regardless of which it is, I can see that as an excuse for Jae Won not wanting to be too attached to Ji Hyun and that being the main conflict for the rest of the show… that’s my most optimistic scenario though 😅

I think you're right. There's no point introducing the bitch ex-gf so much if she's not going to be a feature in the story. I'm guessing his fear of losing JiHyun is going to make him retreat into the 'safety' of his old life that he didn't care about. And that eventually they'll find their way back to each other. The writer is gay - I can't imagine that they're going to end up not together, or one of them dying or something like that.
