Evening all,

Hopefully you've heard the chapter, I've kept it vague just in case. Being that this weekend is Canada Day Long Weekend it'll be a shorter turn around this week. Voting closes Friday morning at 7am est.

This is definitely a “there are no good options” situation. My vote is to honor the agreement though. It will most likely be trouble, but I think odds are that not honoring the deal will cause bigger problems in the long run. In fantasy stories breaking your word with a magical entity rarely ends well.

I don't think it's worth the risk to not honor the deal. We already made our bargain. We should follow through with it. PLUS we do NOT need a vanguard AND Kayne against us.

Tough call! I am incredibly suspicious of the way Yorick convinced everyone to go back for the hand “just in case” but there’s not much we can do about that. Definite side eye but I vote we honor the deal for the sole purpose of avoiding angering the Vanguard. I think that gives us better odds than pissing off something very powerful and (so far) helpful. We’re just gonna have to trust he won’t be too evil with his magical relic. John needs to stop making secret deals.

Honoring the deal feels like the way to go. Even if Yorick turns agains the boys someday, its in their best interest imo to keep whatever favor they can with him as long as possible. Maybe honoring it can be used as leverage at some point, or play a part in a different choice that Arthur and John make.

We all know of “deals;” especially deals with otherworldly beings. Breaking said deals and avoiding the consequences is exceedingly difficult if nigh impossible.

As much as I don't trust Yorick, having a creature that is capable of knowing exactly where you are, what your goals are, and can see through your eyes the way the vanguard can will make for the worst enemy. Especially if the boys have future enemies against them who could in any way get their hands on Yorick. I do wonder if perhaps Yorick is trying to summon the rest of itself into our world, or maybe unbinding itself in a way that allows it to fully manifest into either worlds. If that's the case, Arthur and John will need to keep an eye on him to ensure his goals are not putting them at risk. I wonder if completing or attempting to complete the deal will open up Yorick to actually providing information ahead of time, or perhaps allow Yorick to interact more directly with the aid of the hand.

I only trust Yorick as far as I can punt him like a football, but he's an amusing little bastard and I wanna see what he's plotting, so I say we honour the deal. It's only fair, polite, and the consequences might be less upsetting than those of refusing because we need him to bullshit our way into the castle successfully. Let's give the lad a friendly hand!

Breaking deals is like not a great idea. Especially with a creature from the Dark World. Yorick is also just a lil boi, mayba a bit... malevolent, but either way choosing to honor the deal will make a good story.
