It feels like first instinct is to say yes, we did, but whenever something feels this obvious I like to take the alternate route. We don't know what the promise was. Might be safer in this instance to play a little 'selfishly' and disregard a dying wish we know nothing about.

Rather than try to make an educated guess at the wish itself (fun exercise, tho), I go back to the bit of dialogue from which the question rises. Let's think about Lilith there. Arthur got to her with that last jab. "She is like her father/she can't get the stone by herself". That got to her. She is annoyed at something so many of us hate. A "you are just like your parent" comment. She wants to twist a knife, change the course of the conversation, have this chit chat in her control. So she asks this, wanting to sting with that question. Challenging, spitting it. Maybe mocking, even. She knows the answer, she's been following and taking bites of them all these days. I would say, Arthur did not fulfill that wish. I vote no. (unless we want to lie, but I don't feel that this is how it works.)

That’s where I’m leaning as well 🖤 Arthur has a tendency to be reckless in dire situations —- which is all well and good for his character/ personality as a whole —- but I really feel like the boys don’t need to be fulfilling any other wishes other than their own right now, even if it may be “selfish.” We don’t know who’s wish this is, but even then I’m a bit hesitant to fulfil it

Quinn

We don’t know who’s dying wish we are being asked about ((edit to add: I believe it’s Vale’s wish)) and (for now) I’m more inclined to have less on the boys’ plate with all the craziness happening —- even if it may be “selfish” or callous to focus only on their own interests

Quinn

But I’m open and excited to hear any and all other ideas 👀🖤🖤🖤

Quinn

I loved seeing your idea in the discord and I agree 👀🖤🖤🖤

My gut reaction was to vote no I’m just worried that binding ourselves in a deal we know nothing about will limit our future choices, and I can’t think of a positive result of accepting Vale’s request

Scottie

I think Arthur has been having a bad terrible time and a no matches up with that.

I think the fact that we have yet to see the wish, is because its something that would spoil a twist, or hurt out opinion of something, probably a character. I believe that Antwan poisoned the horses and spoiled the food on purpose, to hinder the cart, he orchestrated the attack, and is trying to steal the black stone. My opinion is that the wish was, to kill Antwan. I say yes, we will in that case.

Sasha

Yes we did

Can someone remind me who Sir Vale is? My chicken sized brain has forgotten and I feel as if I have committed a grave sin

keyraven

He's the ranger/knight who was shot with the arrow. We told him the truth regarding Mother Darkness and Lilith in the last vote.

I agree with a lot of the opinions here. Lilith clearly already knows the answer, and it sounds like she's asking to mock Arthur, which means either the dying wish was something Arthur really didn't want to do, and did, or it's something he should have done and failed at. Either way, I'm feeling a No with this one.

Let's make Vale's dying wish be the thing Meat Loaf sang about in "I would do anything for love (but I won't do that)"

Lettie Black

I feel like the knee-jerk reaction is to say yes--usually you want to fulfill someone's dying wish--but I honestly feel like "I didn't" is the safer answer. We don't know what his last wish was, and Lilith is clearly just trying to mess with Arthur. 🥲 Besides, as selfish as it would seem, I think it makes more sense for them to focus on the Black Stone right now instead of trying to fulfill someone else's wishes.

Brooke

I feel like then Alia wouldn’t have said that Antoine would carry the location after she couldn’t

Raven Fritz

But she didn't know Arthur wanted the black stone either, whats to say she didn't overlook his true intentions either🤔

Layali

Between ‘I didn’t fulfill a (noble) man’s dying wish and I regret it’ and ‘I fulfilled someone’s dying wish and it might’ve backfired on me’ I feel like the second one I (and Arthur tbh) can live with, while the first regret would be worse, and not something I’d move on from as quickly. I mean Arthur has too many death related regrets already. I’d rather add on a ‘consequences of my own actions’ regret to his plate rather than ‘I failed another dying person’. So for me the safer bet is to choose ‘I did fulfill the wish’.

Update: I have flipped. If bad things happened because Arthur was trying to do good, then at least he still tried. Evil triumphs when good men do nothing and all that jazz.
