guys i'm on my hands and knees. why are we risking the one thing that will keep us safe just for an assumed moral high ground? we've never been above necessary violence before. now is CERTAINLY not the time. and i highly doubt whoever this is will have a mind uncorrupted enough to speak to us at all, let alone give us help. "risking the lighter" is not hope either, there's a difference between hoping things will be okay and putting blind trust in a world that wants to kill us to be nice just this one time. taking the lighter back by force also doesn't mean Fausting the guy; if you want to put hope in arthur's sanity and morality, you can hope that he knows the difference between necessary fighting and brutality.

I think we should think about what Arthur would choose. Arthur would choose to talk first and fight second. Always.

im gonna vote for Risk Losing the Lighter, not for the name of the vote but because I was just reminded that the lighter might not only effect Arthur and John in bringing them back to their right mind, but it also might have effected the person who is holding it now. And my thought since the start of this season is we might be getting some parallel votes to help re-establish what kind of person/character Arthur is. In S1 we chose kindness and not to kill right off the bat. We may be helping to choose what kind of person Arthur is going to grow into in the Dark World. And we just attacked and killed an innocent when we were separated from the lighter and had regrets immediately afterwards, do we want to lean into that behavior once again?

I wasnt on time for this. I wouldve chosen "risk losing the lighter" simply because i feel like thats what arthur would do. On the other hand, hes been rambling a lot about the lighter, and sees it as salvation. Hm
