TheDucky

Arthur immediately thinking about how to free Yorrik is another reminder for why I love him so much 🥹

manta

this episode crossed off so many square on my personal bingo sheet for this season, so exciting!!

Layali

I’d been wondering if Kayne had taken all the alternate Arthurs in the Dark World and that’s why John never mentioned finding any. I was sure if I were John, trapped in the Dark World, I’d try to find alternate versions of my friend both for company and bc last I saw him he was dying and I’d feel guilt and grief - maybe I’d find my actual friend in the DW, but even alternates would work. So I was curious why John didn’t try to do that. And I knew whatever he’d done during his time in the DW would be awful, but why, John. Of all the possible materials for your damn mausoleum, you went for Arthur? Last time you saw him, he sacrificed himself for you against the King. 🥲 Guess that’s why. John got exiled into the dark world probably still pre-occupied with Arthur’s fate. Suppose the dark world took the last, most human thoughts John had – loss, guilt, regret, powerlessness, all towards Arthur – and warped them. Twisted him so he could only act on his final thoughts through violence. Like I said, if it were me in John’s place I’d be seeking my friend out in the dark world. But if I were corrupted then I’d still seek him out, but everything warped. Powerlessness to violence. Love to hatred. Grief to madness. Guilt to desecration. (You call it love, I call it madness :p.) Whatever resentment I already felt, amplified. Start to believe that this friend of mine is the source of my problems - that I was only unable to merge back with my ‘superior’ self because of my friend infesting my mind, and that it’s his fault I was back in the dark world. Guess when John ran out of Arthurs to enact his…feelings?…on, he called out to Kayne. I mean look at where John’s corpse is - his throne in the citadel he made with Arthur’s bones :///

Layali

Still…goddamn. Imagine standing in a gigantic citadel of white bone ‘emanating torment’, and then being told you’re standing on your corpse, surrounded by monuments to your own torture and your friend’s ’desire’ to torment you. At least I can rest easy on the whole ‘will they struggle with the anxiety of separating into different bodies’. If I were Arthur, I’d be making it my top priority to get John a body just so I could murder him in it. Tit for tat. (But like, not permanently murder him.)

Layali

My favorite two bits in this chapter: 1) Yorrick!! 2) “For the record, I wouldn’t stop. Even if she were here. Because it wouldn’t be enough. I would need to give her more. A world to go back to.” I’m glad Arthur got to say that.

Helena

Oh, man, what an emotional rollercoaster. I was grinning when Yorrik appeared, like, finally something good happened in this whole nightmare. Every single chapter has been so devastating. I was sooo happy. And them getting bodies, huh, wow that's going to be something. And Yorrik can get them out of there, yay! And then, BAM, the citadel of Arthur's bones. 🥲 Back to devastating. God.
