Ah yes, turning your back on a man with piano wire, to lean down ands fiddle about with the mechinisim to disconnect the caboose.. I can't imagine anything backfiring with that choice...

I would say jump train, but when looking at the mechanism, John said he felt confident they could work with it. I’m gonna trust John in this specific instance.

Jarthur said their assailant was crazy but smart to climb the top of the train to get them; if he's dedicated enough for that, I bet he would jump off the train for them, too. And John specifically said that releasing the train would be easy, so loose that caboose.

Arthur's going to snap his little malnourished bones to pieces if he jumps, and Collins definitely seems insane enough to go after him anyway. He's already stumbled through the snowy wilderness with no femurs once, and I don't think Kayne would break up this fight for him. LOOSE. THE. CABOOSE.

If Arthur jumps he’ll probably break his legs AND be in the middle of nowhere and need to find a way to New York like that. You can’t run away with broken legs. However if we ditch the butcher and he has to get to new York by foot for a bit then we have a head start and don’t have to worry about him for awhile

We have to separate the cars. How is Percy gunna hear the end of that story if we jump off the train?

We made a plan, we should stick with the plan. Separate the cars, the situation isn't dire enough to try and jump and, as other have said, no guarantee that Collins won't follow if we jump.

Trying to separate the cars, while difficult, is likely the best option here. Jumping the train has a high risk of injury, even with the snow, not to mention Arthur and John would then be stranded in the snowy woods potentially miles away from any civilization.

Lose the car but also make sure we have a weapon. I think that went by the top of the cars. We need to make sure that we can fight.
