Oh, my heart! I love John being amazed by the world.

THAT IS SUCH A HARD CHOICE! Half of me is like yeah we agreed with John, don’t be a dick and ask anyway, but the other little curious gremlin half of me NEEDS ANSWERS.

Or… hear me out… we don’t use the vanguard and go to the library!

I feel like John was right the first time. They already have Anna clues and asking could get her killed, and they know most everything they’d need from her. Plus ok I just really really really wanna know about kayne if I’m honest I don’t think they could stop him he’s too powerful for that but I doubt if they got anything from Anna that it would be helpful to their situation either so. One is problem solving, the other is understanding how the thing that is letting you live/ occasionally saving your life works and potentially how to stay in the sweet spot of entertaining but only in natural habitat instead of something to torture. They have his help bc they’re interesting and he’s bored, that could change any minute in any direction for the worse. They might not be able to fight him but they can keep him satisfied.

Good morning everyone but especially my fellow Kayne Is Nyarlathotep truthers

What could Arthur possibly learn about Kayne that wouldn’t either send him into a doom spiral or put him further at risk? John definitely knows more about Kayne than we get to hear, and so I trust his judgement on this. Using the vanguard at all is already risk enough, I think it’s much wiser to pick Anna here.

i made the mistake of listening to this at work during breakfast bc i was so hype and almost threw my bagel across the room when arthur said he's not alone like Larson is. masterclass of dramatic irony goddamn.
