I know that it could be a trap (it always could be a trap) but I read it like a challenge not an order, and, in dream logic and in real life, does not sit right with me staying down, Arthur gets up and keeps going even if is not the reasonable choice. And now is trapped in a nightmare and in a fresh grave, get up and keep fighting even if we can't see a way out yet.

I do think there might be a case for staying down (dying in a nightmare being the fastest way to wake up, for example), but this isn't an ordinary nightmare, and anyway the point is academic because whether or not it's what Arthur *should* do, getting up is what Arthur *would* do

Did TMA teach y'all nothing 😂. U gotta let go of the fear to overcome it. Defying the nightmare by sleeping peaceably sounds like the way to go to me. Arthur has been doing the opposite of reacting out of fear season 3 and 4, I'm not sure resisting is the right choice here.

I am surprised at myself for this, but my gut is telling me defying the dream by refusing to follow the rules of the dream. I'm going to be hopelessly outnumbered on this poll probably, which I don't mind, as getting up is the one that makes the most sense, but I'm going to be going with my guts.

Same! I want Arthur to be defiant, but based on what you said, I don’t know if that means getting up or staying down. As unintuitive as it sounds in the real world, it kind of makes sense in dream logic.

I agree that staying down is the better idea, but I have morbid curiosity and also getting up fits more with his character.
