I think being honest (selectively anyway) is the way to go. Daniel and Arthur are both hurting. Maybe they can have something of a relationship, but that starts with honesty.

Scottie

I'd like to see how Arthur tells his story ans how Daniel reacts to it so it's truth for me.

Alexi

daniel sucks so so bad hes feeding arthur a line

Satyr Legs

I definitely think being honest within reason is the way to go here, it seems Daniel rly just wants family

Keeping the truth from Oscar seemed like the right way to go because knowing Arthur’s name could have put him at risk. Daniel already knows Arthur and has an easily traceable connection to him. I say letting Daniel in on the truth is the safer move, if for no other reason than to warn him about the Butcher. The only potential drawbacks are if Daniel doesn’t buy it, or if he’s already involved in the cult

I think I'll be contrarian here and go for lie, on the basis that if we tell the truth and Daniel gets hurt Arthur will very possibly blame himself for it. Although I do not particularly like Daniel, he's the only human support network Arthur has, and I'd like to aim to protect him (now lying may well not be the right way to protect him, but we can only work on our hunches here).

Nicky

Relationship elements aside, I think a pared down version of the truth will be the most productive for the investigation. Letting Daniel know he’s actually a PI tracking down a group will get a reaction whereas lying could just hit a wall and get nothing

I am still... vaguely distrustful of Daniel solely for his religiosity. I know Arthur's not planning on telling him that he's literally possessed by a demon, but it's a fine line to walk. still, I definitely agree that trying to lie would be even more counterproductive. plus, I REALLY just want to see Arthur have an actual (if tentative) ally for once. man's been alone for way too long.

Nicky

While a normal human ally for Arthur would be a lovely change of pace, I would also enjoy if it turns out Daniel is part of the super secret cult 😈 Man who can’t seem to get a break finally gets a break 👍🏻 Man who can’t seem to get a break still doesn’t get a break 👍🏻
