Meanwhile, in the capital of the Baharuth Empire, Aurelius, disguised as Lucifer, accompanied by Nabe, met with Fluder Paradyne.
Fluder was the Imperial Court Wizard of the Baharuth Empire, the headmaster of the Imperial Magic Academy, and widely regarded as the strongest magic caster in the Empire—said to be comparable to the legendary Thirteen Heroes.
In the original series, after witnessing Ainz Ooal Gown's overwhelming magic, Fluder swore his allegiance, driven by a lifelong desire to serve under a magic caster more powerful than himself. His goal was to become a student once again and break through the limits of his own potential—limits he believed he'd already reached.
Faced with such ideal circumstances, it didn’t take much for Aurelius to subdue Fluder.
The moment Aurelius unleashed his mana, the sheer pressure surpassed anything Fluder had ever experienced—an energy that dwarfed his wildest dreams.
Instantly, Fluder fell to his knees, his eyes wide with awe and fear.
“T-this... this is... unbelievable...”
Tears streamed down Fluder’s face, but he lacked the presence of mind to wipe them away. The sheer magnitude of the power he had just encountered overwhelmed him completely.
People believed that the 10th tier of magic, though never confirmed, represented the highest level of magic. And yet, here stood a man who seemed to have surpassed even that exalted realm.
In that moment, the world seemed to dissolve into light, and Fluder felt his consciousness falter.
He couldn't grasp what had just transpired before his eyes. Even after living over 200 years and mastering the highest tiers of human magic, Fluder found himself utterly unable to comprehend the force before him.
“...In the past, I believed in a lesser deity who governed magic,” Fluder said, voice trembling. “But if you are not that god, then I shall renounce my faith immediately. For the true god now stands before me.”
Without hesitation, Fluder kowtowed, pressing his forehead to the ground. Pain shot through him, but it was meaningless compared to the uncontrollable joy surging through his heart.
“I know this is extremely rude, but I beg a favor of you, upon my hands and knees! Please bestow your teachings upon me! I wish to glimpse the abyss of magic! I beg you! I beg you!”
"And what sort of price are you willing to pay for that?”
To any other ears, that voice would have been chilling. But to Fluder, it was as sweet as a melody, filling his heart with excitement. He was fully aware of the danger implied in those words—but what of it?
Fluder did not hesitate for even a moment. He was willing to pay the price. He was willing to hand over his soul.
“Everything! Yes, I will pledge everything I have to you! O Lord of the Abyss! O unfathomable one!”
“...Very well. If you are willing to give me everything, then I shall grant your wish.”
Still, in the grand scheme of things, Fluder’s loyalty was merely a tool—a key whose actual significance was negligible. Yet his submission would simplify matters.
With Fluder now under his control, Aurelius wasted no time in issuing his first command: to lure the greedy people known as the Workers to the Great Tomb of Nazarick.
Of course, unlike Momonga, who directly exposed Nazarick to the Workers, Aurelius had devised a different kind of trap. Using Mare and the others, he created a decoy ruin of Nazarick, much closer to E-Rantel.
They crafted this elaborate structure to appear as though it held vast riches, but in reality, it was nothing more than a cleverly baited snare. The rest of the plan followed the same pattern as in the anime.
Aurelius saw no reason to alter a perfectly executed strategy that was destined for success. Whether his goals involved the annexation of the Baharuth Empire, the destruction of Re-Estize, the foundation of his own kingdom, or even playing with the women of Foresight, Arche and Imina, or Leinas Rockbruise—the only female member of the Four Imperial Knights of the Baharuth Empire—this plan allowed him to achieve it all without having to exert much effort.
He could enjoy it all at his leisure without revealing his true power too soon.
Then, just as Aurelius ordered, Fluder suggested to Emperor Jircniv Rune Farlord El-Nix that they send Workers to explore the newly discovered tomb, aiming to uncover more information about the mysterious magic caster, Aurelius Nova Lucifer, who had previously saved Gazef Stronoff.
Seizing the opportunity, Jircniv used a greedy noble to issue the mission.
Among the teams of greedy Workers who accepted the mission, team Foresight was also there. Arche, desperate to gather enough wealth to save her sisters from a grim fate, and others who wanted to seize the opportunity to strike it rich, moved deeper into the ruin.
They truly believed that treasure awaited them, unaware of the gruesome fate.
…..
Everything happening in that Decoy ruin was being watched by Aurelius, Albedo, and Luminous from the throne room.
"I guess it begins now," Aurelius said.
"Indeed," Albedo replied. "We must show those greedy, foolish humans what true terror looks like."
"Albedo is right. These mortals cannot go unpunished," Luminous added, her voice filled with disdain.
"I understand. Inform everyone at their posts—make sure not a single intruder escapes."
"Yes!"
Albedo and Luminous bowed deeply, setting the standard for the other servants. Aurelius leaned back on the throne, watching as the Workers were being brutally tortured.
Some were handed over to the Neuronist, while others died from a single blow from one of the Pleiades, their blood spraying out like a fountain as they crumpled to the ground.
"Pathetic. Take in the three elven captives from Hamsuke's chamber. They could be used as animals to play some games."
"Understood. I’ll see to it immediately," Luminus responded, bowing at a perfect 90-degree angle before vanishing.
The screen shifted, showing Hamsuke, who was standing alongside a Death Knight and a Lizardman. Nearby, Erya Uzruth lay dead, his face crushed in. Luminus was delivering orders to Hamsuke, who nodded in acknowledgment. He then turned to the three elven women who were kicking Erya's corpse with grotesque smiles on their faces.
"They're enjoying themselves," Aurelius murmured, watching with mild interest before shifting to the next screen.
"It’s almost time to wrap things up. Albedo, what about Adara and other children?"
"She’s still sleeping. Diana, Erlesia, and Malina are also sleeping beside her."
"I see... I really should spend more time with my children. As a father, I feel somewhat guilty."
"Oh no, how could you say that, Aurelius-sama! Your very existence brings joy to them! Please don’t trouble yourself with such thoughts!"
Aurelius gave a small chuckle. "Perhaps you’re right. I’ll spend time with them."
"It would be a great honor for the children to be with Aurelius-sama!" Albedo said, her eyes brimming with enthusiasm.
Using the power of a wish upon a star, Aurelius had recently made Luminous, Shalltear, and Narberal give birth early. Therefore, Aurelius had numerous offspring, all of whom were daughters.
Erlesia Nova Lucifer was the name of Shalltear's daughter. Luminus’s daughter was Malina Nova Lucifer, and Narberal’s daughter was Diana Nova Lucifer.
Each child was a stunning blend of Aurelius's striking features and their mothers' beauty. From birth, they exhibited remarkable strength, and their growth was rapid.
'Are only Enri, Luna, and Calca left?' Aurelius was thoughtful.
Currently, only those three women were carrying Aurelius's children. As for the other onaholes—they had yet to conceive.
This was due to the fact that the current number of children in Nazarick was sufficient to create a lively atmosphere, while the others were either unworthy to give birth to his offspring or that he wasn't yet in the mood to impregnate them.
Albedo immediately noticed Aurelius lost in thoughts.
"Is something troubling you, Aurelius-sama?"
"No, I’m fine. I didn’t mean to worry you. The Foresight group has been captured, so it’s time to proceed. Albedo, come with me."
"Yes, Aurelius-sama!" Albedo exclaimed, bowing deeply.
Aurelius rose from his chair and opened the door, walking out first. Albedo followed closely behind him with a delighted smile on her face as she swayed her hips, clearly pleased to be at his side.
