Hello you wonderful deviants, Because we have the Wyverin race, which is essentially a dragon reptile race, I thought that a different epic enemy which I had reserved for "Dragon" seems a bit strange. So I would love to hear some suggestions from the community :)*EDIT - I am looking for non reptile suggestions, so the dragon race stands out.I'll probably put my favourite into a poll to then choose.

Wyverin are wyverns like race, which isn't exactly dragon, because dragon walk on 4 legs and have wings, while wyverns have to back legs and wings on their front arms. Meaning you can keep both. You'll probably gonna have to work around the difference between the two tho

Michael Delpino

what if your dragon was more of an Asian type? like shenron style? I forget the specific name of that type of dragon but im sure you get the idea

I appreciate the suggestion, but I do think the similarities will be too close, I guess I'm looking for something that is clearly distinguishable and different 😊

GreatRedFox

When I think of dragons, I always remember Blue Eyes White Dragon from the original yugioh series. Majestic and powerful. Maybe a light and dark dragon.

Arvom (Giulio)

Well if you are planning to do diffrent kinds of wyverins you can just call the category wyvern, maybe i didn't understand but what would fall under the category dragon?

GluteusMultiplus

Maybe a higher undead, Lich/vampire? Or a golem?

Crusader Cat

If you want a variety of dragon creatures you could do dragons and wyrms or amphithere

Benji

Are we suggesting different alternatives to dragon all together? Sphinx, Angel, Demon, Griffin, Manticore, Roc, Kraken, Phoenix, Valkyrie, Far Or are we suggesting different types of dragons? Because unfortunately almost all dragons of myth originated from snakes, it's only the more recent mythology that's added wings and various features. Turning those into girls will all give you the same wings, scales, and claws combo. You can always play around with different main features and aspects, or look into things like elemental differences and powers that would change how they look? Sun dragon is blonde, shadow dragon is goth, fire dragon is a redhead, etc

Werewolf or some type of lycan might be good

ohhh I see what you are saying, thank you so much for the suggestion!

nsfwpixels

Blue Eyes is iconic! Thank you for the suggestion!

nsfwpixels

so I think I may have worded myself poorly, I am looking for something not necessarily reptile or dragon like

nsfwpixels

Thank you so much for the suggestion :)

nsfwpixels

Thank you for the reply Cat, I think I worded myself poorly, Ideally I would be looking for non reptile suggestions so the dragon race stands out :)

Lamia are super cool, thank you for the suggestion! :)

nsfwpixels

Damn Benji, you delivered haha I really really appreciate all these suggestions and for the insight, thank you so much for taking the time to share these!

nsfwpixels

Werewolf/Hellhound could be really cool! Thank you Jacob!

Blackwolf36

How about something like a Hydra?

Sowac

I don't know the name of the race, but in The Witcher III there are these plant and tree like creatures that can move and attack, maybe something like this would be interesting since you also have characters that are plant like/inspired

Sowac

Oh, maybe a rock based creature like the mountains in TLOTR or the hobbit that can move could be cool. That could also help give you the possibility to make some lore for how the anvil girl became an anvil for example, insatiable creature that roamed the mountains looking for her purpose in life, decided to shackle herself and become an anvil or something like that

nsfwpixels

Thank you so much for the suggestion! 😁

nsfwpixels

Thank you so much for all the suggestions Sowac, I really appreciate it! 😁

touta konoe

Maybe to still gave the flying theme something like harpys

nsfwpixels

Thank you for the suggestion Touta :)

I know they are amphibians and not quite reptiles, but maybe salamander based. In actual history, many cultures (including writings by Aristotle) believed salamanders were aspects of fire. It’s thought that this belief came from salamanders using extinguished fire pits as heat sources after a fire had died down. Once someone would light a new fire in that same spot the salamanders would dart out of the fire pit due to the heat. This made it seem that the salamander had miraculously appeared from the heart of the fire. Zulie The Witch has a Dark Souls 2 video about it on YouTube.

Mrbattery 101

Maybe different kinds of elementals? Could add other variants from different parts of the world.

nsfwpixels

Thank you so much for the suggestion and comment DerpaD, I really appreciate it! :)

nsfwpixels

Elementals are classic, I appreciate the suggestion :)

Knack03

A yeti in a winter biomedical would be pretty cool. And mermaids or merpeople for an ocean biome
