Hello you lovely deviants,I wanted to take the time to discuss the "Speed" StatRight now, I don't actually have a speed stat implemented, but wanted to potentially discuss how I would implement it.

What would it potentially Effect?

The plan is for this to effect your Movement speed and dash cooldown and basic attack speed. (not abilities)

The plan is to handle Ability speed and cooldown primarily elsewhere, but your basic attack speed may assist with cooldown, and I will discuss this later.Overall Speed stat or Sub-speed stats?

What I mean by this is if we just have a single "Speed" stat that includes all the above mentioned (i.e. one Speed stat that controls dash, attack, and movement) or, have dedicated speed stats for Movement speed, Dash Cooldown, and Attack speed.Which do you prefer of the below?Option 1:

Single speed stat that includes (Movement speed, Dash Cooldown, and Attack speed)

Option 2:

Individual Stats for Movement speed, Dash Cooldown, and Attack speed

Option 3:

I did not discuss this, but you don't care about a speed stat or need for a speed stat, just let the subclasses having dedicated move speed etc.

I think a movement speed stat should be harder to modify, maybe through boots and maybe some enchanted trinkets. Attack speed should be a bit more accessible, some critnheavy builds would rely on more and weaker critical strikes than classes that make their hits matter like a mage. Dash CD should have a hard limit at some point, to not trivialize encounters by just dodging until the player feels comfy to attack.
