I really like modern fantasy, but 8-bit fits more with the game. It would be a little strange to have modern fantasy music in an pixel game and vice versa

Chip tune will match the vibe. If anything, add the other kind to like a secret ending or secret rooms. If I am allowed to throw a big ole wrench in the gears though, what are the sound effects going to be? If they are realistic, modern fantasy all the way.
