Announcement (Patreon)

Hi everyone,

Today we have to make some sort of a sad announcement.
It is not a secret that for a while we've been financially struggling and we've reached a point that we have to make a decision, a decision we probably smartly had to make some time ago but we emotionally delayed.

After a lot of consideration we have decided that, if after releasing the first Alpha of Mojo Hunter, giving it a month or so after, if the interest for this project hasn't increased significantly in the form of financial support, we'll close this patreon and we will conclude this adventure with Knot Games.

Please don't look at this announcement as an intent to collect more money because if this was our intention this will not be the smart thing to do. Look at it more like as a heads up because we think it is the fair thing to do.

In any case and as always, we are eternally grateful for all this years and the support you have given us that made it possible.

Well you can pick it from the blog and then purchase an item from the shop here as a gesture. Or subscribe a month download it here and then unsubscribe.

In the case of closing we'll probably close it for good but we'll give you heads up and we'll have to see it, there is an option of leaving the patreon on hold or there was, but we would have to check how it works if the posts are still accessible and such

Seems there is an option to pause the billing for a month but, after it, we have to request it each month to extend it. I'm not sure if in between billing will be processed so provably we'll not go in that direction because will provably end up in problems.

I’m surprised that you guys don’t sell game on Steams. Your games have better quality than most of the smut game on there, and they sells for $10-$40 each.

I understand the decision, and it would be sad to see you go. Would any of the group seek to work for other adult game studios? Or would it be a complete end to the adult game career as a whole?

And ya, unless there's a good reason not to, I would totally recommend putting these up on steam for whatever price. Having to find a patreon and search for the individual content is a lot more work and effort than what it takes to find games I like on steam. I'd buy your games on Steam if I saw em there.

I think you should try and sell your game on itchio and steam for extra money. It can be good to have new people and existing players to buy your games

Can only speak for myself (Root), and in my case I would get on non adult content adventures. Could consider an offer if it comes but it is not my idea at the moment.

If do end, at the moment only one artist, myself, is still working on the project and If Knot games closes I don't think I'm going to continue working on adult art. This style was kinda developed for this games. As for the other 3 artists that contributed in Elana, chapter 1 and 2, I think at this time doesn't wan't to be associated with this project but in the possible case I'll ask them if you want.

Ya make some announcements once you got your games up on steam and I'll buy a few. :) I dunno what the best pricing strategies are but I think you could even put up the "free games" for a few bucks and then just super discount em occasionally to make em near free for the people with less $ to spend on games. I dunno what the rules are for mentioning alternative ways to get the games you put up on steam but if there aren't any rules against it, you can always direct em to other places to get the games, especially the free ones. Could say something like, "It's available for free here but we appreciate your support and will use your $ to continue to make more games for your future enjoyment!" or w/e. Sometimes just providing an easy path for people to send you money and get something in return can open up a nice revenue stream.

Hey, following up on the announcement. Wanted to say something more useful than "let me help." I run a content pipeline. Trained art style LoRA, image to video, posting to TikTok and Instagram Reels. It's live right now and pulling good views in the first week. Happy to show you the actual numbers. Here's what I'm proposing. Let me build a few short teaser clips from your art, suggestive not explicit, same line you already walk on Patreon, and run them on TikTok and IG pointed at your Patreon page. It's a test, not a commitment. If it doesn't work you've lost nothing. If it does we can talk about doing it properly. I'd need your permission to use the character art and style first, I'm not touching anything without that. If you're open to it I can put together a couple sample clips so you can see what it looks like before anything goes public.

Hi! Thanks for the offer. I think tiktok and IG are not the right place for our content tho, even in suggestive ways. In any case you have our permission to use our characters and stile as long as you don't use our art directly and it is clearly stated as fan art and clearly crediting us as the origin of such art too. If you end up creating something, we'll be happy to know it and watch it. Not in a controlling way but because we genuinely like to see creations derivative of our work.
