Introducing: Mur. (Patreon)

Comming from the deepest parts of space, Mur is a parasitic lifeform with a lot of motherly love who was at the right place at the right time. Her species, consisted of small larvae who could latch themselves onto creatures, controling their minds and bodies, most of the time feeding off of them, however there were some rare cases where a parasite was able to secure a host in a safe space, to perform a strange process of metamorphosis, permanently fusing parasite and host into a hybrid form that would suit the parasite's goals of survival.

While dangerous, this species was often centered around self survival that only reproduces when its life cycle is about to end, this combined with limited intelligence, kept the species secluded in its own habitat on its native planet, until the humans arrived. Ever so keen to explore the unexplored, a scout took one too many steps into the darkened cave "Scanning for possibly valuable minerals." were the words that woke up Mur that day, and how has she cherished them, her species was very skilled at keeping itself hidden, but this creature and the strange fake fur it had around its whole body, made it easier for her to stay unnoticed.

Mur had stalked creatures that hunted in packs before, so naturally she waited until the scout was alone and then, she saw it, this creature's mind... It opened hers, she saw things in that creature's brain she had never seen before. From that moment Mur began her search for more knowledge, she began learning, changing, evolving...  No longer restrained by instict, Mur began reproducing not just to perpetuate her species, but to gain allies, and surely in no time, she had gained control of the whole ship that brought the humans to her planet, and thus she realized, she was no longer an animal, and she was no longer alone, she had a family... And maybe it was the human nature of indepedent love towards family that rubbed off on her, but Mur saw her purpose clear. Asking her new family to protect her while doing so, Mur proceeded with the full conversion on her host, becoming a walking nest for her species, embracing her new identity as the first of a new species that will soon take over the entire galaxy, after all, her daughters will need host themselves...

Oh well that was a long one, I had missed writting up these stories and coming up with this characters. Ah, this brings me back to my DA day, good times.

Anyway, spent the afternoon sketching these as I had the character sheet for Mur done years ago but never really did anything with them. I'll probably end up working on its character sheet in the next coming days just so that you can have a better look at its design since, well, Im always been into character design and creating OCs.
