Okay so today I’ve filmed my reaction to Angel 5x20. HOWEVER, the recording file bugged and the recording is unsalvageable! I’m so upset. I can either re record and do a rewatch or skip and do ep 21 and just re film my outro for my thoughts to ep 20. what would you guys like me to do. I’m so freaking sorry. Let me know in the comments what you’d prefer and I’ll do that. Currently at the hairdressers for some self care and I’ll try to work over the weekend to get back on track. What a week!!

Ah that’s a gutter for you! I personally find episode 20 very entertaining despite its weird placement in the series. Your reaction would’ve been brilliant! I get that re recording would feel odd as you have seen it so it wouldn’t be a first time watch! I’d love to hear your thoughts all the same whatever you decide. I’d still gladly watch a reaction all the same.

I'd be okay with just your thoughts. I think 5x20 is one of the weakest episodes of the entire show, so I personally wouldn't miss the full reaction 😆

Just skip to EP 21. The only parts of 20 that are really worth it are the Wes/Illyria scenes. Would love your thoughts on that. The angel spike stuff is fun but not really serious. It is just more to give closure on their relationship to buffy without actually having buffy there.

awww no dak thats awful! 😭 i know im not in on this series, but personally I wouldn't want you to re-watch something you've just done. its more work and stress for you, id rather that you skip and just do your after thoughts if its still fresh enough for you to so do easily. sorry tae hear you've had a rough week. all the hugs ❤️

That's a shame I really enjoy this episode esp as a reaction and buffer before the final two. Just do what feels right for you

Sorry to hear that. So annoying. I wouldn't mind you re-watching it if you felt like it . Obviously you can remember all the comments and jokes you made originally so just say them again in a deadpan and robotic way as if thinking of them for the first time! Enjoyed your turn in Taskmaster though! Your "rapping" was excellent. No sarcasm here!

I'm so sorry that happened. I'd vote for a re watch just to get a commentary while it's happening, but whatever is easiest for you. If you skip to 21, that's ok too.

omg you were so near to the end of Buffyverse without this happening! I honestly can't remember what happened in episode 20 so i need to rewatch it before 21 reaction no matter what... I think I do have the DVDs though... Do what you think is best. Is your audio still salvageable as I know that's recorded on a different track.

I would say move on to episode 21 but do a quick breakdown of your thoughts on episode 20 at the start of episode 21. I feel like trying to do both at the end will lower the quality of both because its a lot to try to remember at once.

Oh no! 😧 It's such a fun episode, and it would be a shame to lose one so close to the end. Obviously a rewatch won't be the same but I'd still like to get your thoughts on the episode. Whatever you're most comfortable with though.

Damn, I would've like to have seen your first reactions to Illyria pretending to be Fred, and doing a good job at doing so. The whole "Buffy" part of the episode I don't care about though. You probably laughed a few times at the silliness, and that would've felt good to watch. I don't just enjoy the Dakrya parts :-)

I would say do a re-watch. It would give you a chance to do a kind of outro on the whole episode as it happens, commenting on things you found interesting as it plays out.

Thanks for your feedback guys!! The strange thing is, on my first watch I explained that I would have preferred the episode on a rewatch because I was so distracted by the thought of seeing Buffy again that I felt I wasn’t appreciating the comedy as much as I should have.

While I also would have loved to see your first reaction to “Fred” and also Angel and Spike on the Vespa, I’d still love to see a rewatch reaction that includes your updated thoughts and feelings! I’m so sorry that happened and I’m sure you’re worried about the YouTube of it all, but we’re here to hang with you and know that shite happens. So the only thing I want you to promise is that, if you do a rewatch, you make it as fun and low-stress/pressure for yourself as you can. <3

Honestly, I'd vote for a rewatch unless it makes it harder for you. I never really understood why rewatches are frowned upon. It often gives reactors the ability to do better commentary during the episode and even allows them to notice elements they will have missed on the first watch. That and you can just straight out tell the viewers what your first reaction was to certain moments. It would feel weird just skipping over an episode completely, I think!

If that's the case, unless it's a lot of extra work (I honestly don't know), I'd say do the rewatch and just make it clear that it is one. And as you go, if you have different thoughts on the second time through, that can make for interesting commentary.
