Hello All!   

We have a psychic, well kind of & Walter is responsible, well kind of haha. It would be interesting if we see him again though if somehow the connection/communication is re-triggered. Peter is being followed and he aint happy about it. Walter got his piano and loves to listen to Peter play. Broyles and Nina are in cahoots...but for why???

Your feelings about Olivia take me back to how you felt about Nick at the beginning of Grimm. You warmed up to Monroe much quicker than you did Nick. I must say I felt the same, as with Walter on on here. So lovable.

I love Peter. I think he's sometimes overlooked because Walter and Olivia are such strong characters but I think he's interesting in his own right. And of course I am completely biased because of Pacey lol I remember watching Peter and being able to pinpoint specific episodes of Dawson's Creek that certain line deliveries and mannerisms reminded me of... I watched S3 of that show wayyyy too many times lol Your hair looks fab btw! How very Anya of you to be constantly changing it ;)

Dakara you are doing very well. Many of your observations about the characters and what's going on are on the money and there will come a day when you look back on these early episodes and say "Yeah, now I can really see what was going on there". It's just hard at first to get into the flow of everything, but the journey of finding out is what is so fun about this show. I love your attitude and willingness to just jump in and have fun with it, that's how it should be... and you are plenty smart, you will have no problem getting the science of this show.

ooo love your hair! can i just say that roy is actually very talented at drawing? i actually love his style, reminding me of the old "scary stories to tell in the dark" illustrations (which, as we all know, are far superior to the newer editions) olivia is definitely more stoic and harder to read than peter who, despite running and pushing people away for so long, clearly cares very deeply about the people around him and feels a deep sense of responsibility for them, especially when it comes to anyone who's run afoul of walter. definitely someone a relative loner like olivia could trust, at least professionally for now, if not as a friend quite yet

The actor who plays Walter (John Noble) is from my home state. He's one of the cofounders of the South Australian Theatre Company. I had the extreme honour of seeing him in productions back in the 80s, and participating in a high school Q&A with him as one of the stage directors. Immensely talented and seems like a really lovely guy.

Walter has clearly done some ethically and morally dubious things in his past as a scientist, but he's a really great character. I said it elsewhere but John Noble really is the best thing about this show. I know him from LOTR and The Boys but I'm surprised I've not seen him in more. Why is it that characters like Roy are always really good at art? 🤔 If that were me it would all be stick figures!

This will be my third full watch of the series and you are already picking up on characters intricacies better than I did. I love the song Peter plays at the end, "Someone to Watch Over Me." Seems like Peter agrees with you that Olivia is too distant and remote, since when she requests Bach (formal, structured), he says she needs some jazz (loose, improvisational). And remember what he told her in the previous ep: how cool and unruffled she had seemed to him thus far in dealing with all the unimaginable things suddenly confronting them.

I really like your Bach vs jazz comparison in regards to Olivia! In defense of her and her musical tastes there's a lot passion bubbling right beneath the surface of Bach's music. I'd choose him over jazz any time too tbh I'd choose most music over jazz... I cannot stand it 😬

Oh, I absolutely love me some Bach too, and didn't mean to knock either him or Olivia with the comparison, merely to highlight how Peter currently seems to see her, and the contrast between their approaches to life/casework, as of this episode.

This show definitely leaves you with questions and more questions. But they do eventually answer those questions as I'm sure you figured out over the last several months lol. I can't believe I've already watched three episodes today with you but it's been great and looking forward to maybe finishing one more before bed. It's been years since I've seen this show and I forgot how much I loved it.
