Hello All!

What a corker! Mitch you've really gone and done it now! Harris can actually do one as well, what a creep! Olivia, ya deserve better - the amount of crap she's been through! Bless her heart. Was nice to see her with her sister and niece at least and I really hope they're both okay.

Truly hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a fab week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

oh, the deep deep love I have for Olivia as a character! The way she handled herself so far but especially this episode is astounding to me. She shows so much strength and poise and badassary it's unbelievable. And Walter keeps being the biggest shipper among us all <3 Also, just a technical piece of information Dakara for maybe next month: idk if you've already been made aware of it, but you should watch episode 11 from season 2 during your season 1 reactions (I'm not sure when exactly, late enough but certainly before ep 19, season 1). Of course this depends on which platform you're watching the show from, cause the placement issue may have already been fixed. So, to avoid any mistakes, the ep in question is supposed to be called 'Unearthed'. I hope anyone who knows more than me about it can help you out with further details

I don't think Olivia is the kind of person who can just let something go. I am and I wouldn't in this case. It just sounds sus! I'm surprised Peter came up with those weak excuses. You'd think as a former conman he was better at reading people but maybe he's just trying to reassure Olivia. Or maybe he was actually bad at being a conman. After all he did get arrested 7 times lol Also, Walter, you shameless little matchmaker. The slug is beautiful. Sure lol BTW I'd love to help with modding but I don't think I know Fringe well enough. Except for S2 and 3 - that was the height of my obsession and I'm pretty sure I remember these 2 seasons super well. So if you can't find anyone by the time we finish S1, I'm your woman! Also I have a little confession to make - I don't know what to do whenever you pick my comments lol They always sound so much better in my head and then you read them out loud and they just sound so dumb. And I spot every little language mistake and I want to rewrite everything 😆 So basically I'm very happy you enjoy them and pls don't mind me not acknowledging it, my brain just won't let me lol

I think it's recommended to watch after 1x16 but yes, someone more knowledgeable pls help! Definitely not to watch it as 2x11 because it makes no sense.

Gary Marshall

Another reactor I follow watched it just before 1x19, but anywhere between 1x16 and 1x19 would work fine.

Audra Foxgrove

Yes, it should be watched after 1.16!

Gary Marshall

The interplay between the core characters is so good that even without the case of the week, which are excellent, I'd still watch the show just to see what Olivia, Peter, Walter, Astrid, Charlie and Broyles were up to!

OLIVIA!! God I love her so much. The scene at the Loebs’ house when she is sitting across the table from Samantha Loeb. Oh. My. God. “Oh really? 😇 What’s the case?😇” “😌 Suspicion of a double agent. 😏” and Olivia‘s faaaaaaaace oh my God. AND THEN the scene with Mr. Loeb in interrogation! “You want your wife, Mitch? … Okay.” She’s so good and so powerful and I love her so muuuuuuch. I normally have much more coherent comments, but I just can’t do anything but flail about Olivia in this episode. Walter being #1 Polivia stan is life. Charlie being the best partner and friend. Broyles continuing to grow and see Olivia & rethink his previous thoughts. And I must mention the man we all love to hate— Harris can gdiaf. P.S. I’ve never been a mod before, but I know this show pretty well. I’d need more information on what exactly would be needed from me before knowing if I could make the commitment, but if you’d like to figure that out then feel free to message me.

sanford harris clearly has people higher up who 1) overturned that conviction, 2) got him an even higher position in the government, and 3) gave him power SPECIFICALLY over the woman who prosecuted him. there are so many laws and regulations violated in soothing that man's ego, it's nauseating and i can't even say it's unrealistic these days. it's infuriating. on the flip side, this was broyles' friend that he was all pissy about in the first couple episodes so it's great to see him not hesitate to back up olivia after everything. it's like he suddenly has the blinders off and actually sees his "friend" for the first time lol walter pointed to the slide that was up and said "simian hemorrhagic fever" (which is a virus) but it's very clearly labeled "leptospira bacteria." i don't know much about bacteria or viruses but this happens to be one of the, like, 2 i know anything about so it just amuses me that they got the right picture to match the label but wrote the wrong disease in the script and they couldn't just edit in the correct slides MAN do i appreciate peter opening his call to olivia with "get out of the house, she's going to kill you" instead of the typical time-wasting "i need you to listen to me, it's important, don't hang up-" god that's so annoying lol regarding your worry about spoilers: i won't say there's no need to worry but i will say that this show is actually kinda hard to REALLY spoil at this point because any big thing that might be spoiled to a detrimental degree has to have a lot of set up and context explained. i won't say it's impossible but someone would have to type out a lot to really spoil something as opposed to accidentally letting something slip in a short comment. not impossible, just harder. it'd be like trying to explain the ouat family tree in some cases lol

THANK YOU for bringing this up guys. I was going to wait another episode or two but since FedeM mentioned it, it is episode 2x11 called "Unearthed" and it probably needs to be watched just before the final four episodes of season 1 (after 1x16). It's one of those things where if you watch it in season 1 (where it belongs) everything is fine, but if you watch it in season 2 it's just out of place. So glad you have real friends who are looking out for you on this issue Dak.

There are a couple of moments in this episode where you can see Olivia literally on the verge of losing it and she just...takes a deep breath and gets through it and I thought what an amazingly human moment for this character to just pause and collect herself and summon the strength to get through it. She is so tough and I dearly love her. I always thought the perfect alternate title for this episode should be "A Day In The Life Of Olivia Dunham" because it literally starts with her captive, held by the bad guys and she goes through the whole day, spinal tap, Sanford, Rachel and Ella, common cold virus, gun battle with Loeb's wife, she even has time to make spaghetti for Rachel and Ella. The day ends with her reading Ella a bedtime story and all I knew when it was over was that I wanted to be just like Olivia Dunham, she's such a bad ass.

Luckily the lovely Mirko gave me the heads up on this and thanks everyone for the info. I'll do my best time remember this info but it's not my strong suit haha. I am great at reading comments though so I'm sure I'll be reminded 😋

So, this is actually my favorite show. I’ve watched it several times, and more if you count reactions. So I pretty much know this show like the back of my hand. I’ve modded for Fringe before on YouTube (Neil Talks), as well as other shows on other channels, but I’ve never modded on Patreon before. I’m sure it’s pretty intuitive, though. Let me know. :)

I think this episode solidified for me that Olivia is officially one of the most badass characters on television. Not just in her capacity as a female character battling sexism and a personal vendetta against her, but that she’s so cool under pressure. Always. And yet, she shows that’s she’s still human, and needs at least a brief moment to process things emotionally, before carrying on (after she buries the cylinder). And the crazy thing is this: she doesn’t believe in herself. She’s probably the most capable person in that office, and yet she feels that she can always do better. And she does.

DakaraJayne

I would love the help! Dm me your YouTube channel and I'll we can sort this out 😄 thanks so much Will

Hey Dakara, I'm back. Stopped by your Youtube channel to see if you had finished Grimm and saw that you're now watching Fringe. Great show! It's been a couple years and I've been thinking about rewatching season one. Now I have a good excuse to do so. Definitely got a thing for Olivia. Had never heard of Anna Torv but she totally captivated me in this role. I was surprised to learn she's Australian.

That look she gave Mitch! Pure Savage! That was incredible!

This was a top tier up so for sure
