Hello All!

Dream creeper episode and one that leads to Peter tapping into hidden memories!!! I just cant with this show - it's so effing good! Loved Sam helping Olivia even more too in this one, I was confused about the task but it was so emotional when I realised the message and how it links to Charlie and her feelings asdfghjkl!!!!

Much love

That poster we see in Peter's nightmare is of the Challenger 11 mission of 28th of June 1984. Now admittedly all my knowledge here is based on random trivia and that one Netflix documentary but I'm pretty sure there was no Challenger 11 mission, much less in 1984. Because that infamous Challenger disaster was mission 10 and that was in 1986 (?). Peter's dreaming about the other universe and his nightmare is a memory. That's just so sad. ETA: Yep, wiki tells me Challenger 10 disaster was 28/01/1986. ETA2: if we were writing the episode obviously the hotel would be overbooked. And omg there was only one bed! lol

There is not a single time that the 'you're gonna be fine' reveal doesn't get me. Charlie, you'll be missed

Joined Patreon a couple of weeks ago and binge watched your reactions. Like I said in one of the Fringe reactions on YouTube , I’m rewatching with you after a couple of years and I’m still intrigued to find out what happens next. So I think the rewatchability is definitely there, at least once every few years 🫶🤩

Remember episode 2.01? Charlie visiting Olivia in hospital? And now, after this episode, we know: "You're gonna be fine" is both the very first and the very last thing Charlie said to Olivia! As for how Sam did it: he is knowledgeable - he is aware that we are very good in subconsciously picking exactly those letters that we consciously need to spell just the right message...

oh yeah, there's rewatchability for fringe lol. between trying to spot the observer, the x-ray cards, and all the foreshadowing, there are a lot of things to look out for. i will say, though, that every time i HAVE attempted to rewatch, i get sucked in so much that i forget to look for those things lol

Massively underrated episode imo, it works so well at everything it’s trying to do, the “MOW” storyline is fascinating/creepy and it’s tied perfectly with Peter’s plotline with such a great (scary) scene at the end that gives us a look inside in both his and Walter’s mind and probably what their journey will be through the season. All the stuff with Olivia is great and very much needed because she was ready to go back to work and bury her worries in the back of her mind as usual but Sam first and Peter later help her to actually grieve for Charlie and what he meant for he and it’s done beautifully with the usual outstanding acting by Anna Torv, this episode truly is a showcase for the show as whole imo because it has all of its strengths, the weird/cool sci-fi case perfectly balanced by the human side of the main character actually going through an arc and dealing with the consequences of stuff that happened in previous episodes and then as always a sprinkle of Walter’s craziness so the episode doesn’t become too grim, the Fringe formula in full effect :). P.S. When it comes to rewatchability Fringe is a big fat yes, there is always something to catch in each rewatch no matter how many times i have done it even outside of easter eggs and foreshadowing though its so rewarding to watch the characters grow through time and then going back to see where those changes happened, so so good.

I find it curious that the tombstone said "Charlie Francis" instead of 'Charles'. Most grave markers would have the formal birth name, including any middle name. It's possible that his parents named him Charlie, and didn't give him a middle name, but that would be unusual. I don't think you have to worry that Peter and Olivia's first kiss, if it happens, will be a 'Wesley/Cordelia moment. ;-)

Has anyone explained, "You're going to be fine," yet? 1) This phenomenon exists. 2) This episode accurately depicts the process and the potential. 3) It isn't magic - but it can feel like magic when the results are profound. 4) It is something everyone can use. I started to write a detailed explainer with the science behind how it works - but stopped to check in here to see anyone was interested, or if it had already been explained. Let me know if anyone is still curious, and I'll finish it.
