Hello All!

It's all over! Another show has been completed and what a ride it's been! This show to me was something to watch that was different to my usual genre and one that falls under the 'easy viewing' category. I LOVED IT! Obviously, I watched the films way back when, so I admittedly had preconceived ideas on characters and stories prior to starting this show. To me, they went above and beyond. Was it cheesy? Yes! Did it also make me question some serious topics and reflect on others? Yes! On the surface this show appears to be a lighthearted watch covering the sport of Karate, but you soon see how this legendary sport creates so many stepping stones for some heavy, life changing lessons and relationships. It's been a joy to watch these characters grow over the course of the franchise and I believe they wrapped up the series well & in a satisfying way. Thank you all for tuning in with my journey through Cobra Kai! Hope you loved it just as much as I enjoyed watching it.

Much love

Dakara x

If I had to pick a scene from the entire run of the show, I might go with something from the first season finale, either Miguel winning the All-Valley with Cobra Kai back on top, or Daniel-san taking Robby to Mr. Miyagi's house with the cars under sheets. ... I think this wrap-up was about as good as anyone could expect, and by that, I mean it was great. The single biggest omission from the entire series was the absence of Julie Pierce from The Next Karate Kid; apparently, the creators wanted it to happen, but it wasn't something they could arrange with Hilary Swank. Biggest letdown for me. But not enough to ruin the ending. ... I am a firm believer in the idea that, if you are going to do something with an established property, a revival or continuation in some form is, in almost every case, Superior to a remake, and Cobra Kai must now stand as one of the best arguments for this. When this show began, I only saw the first two or three episodes because I didn't have anything other than regular YouTube, but I was so impressed that I knew I wanted to see the whole thing; it was pretty clear it was in good hands. And that's been proven. And you are the first reactor who I have watched cover the entire show, and you were great. Glad I was here for it. 🙂

Firstly, thanks so much for commenting throughout this journey. Your messages have always been a pleasure to read and this one is no different. I'm also impressed you managed to make it to the end of the video haha. Those are some great picks for fab/memorable scenes. I wasn't aware of the Hilary Swank part but I could totally see how that's a bit of a let down. Totally agree that the creators of this show felt passionately about it and handled it with the respect it deserves. I truly appreciate you joining me on this ride, means a lot Koz, thank you

Another amazing reaction journey comes to an end. You have made this full watchthrough very enjoyable. This is one of those surprising shows that managed to avoid the trap that many revisting nostalgia trips fall into. Why, because it honours the source material. But also continues to offer plenty of new stories and well developed characters, to build on that legacy. Yes, I'm left with more cheese than I have places to store. Plenty of rich fromage has flown out of the screen over six seasons. But it's all been hearty cheese. That's the magic that takes you along. You laugh and you cry. So many unforgettable moments. Probably my two favourite would be when Kumiko read Mr Miyagi's letter, and when Johnny broke down confronting Kreese. I've cried many more times as well, but they are my highlights. Thanks for making this such a fun time with that sweet smile and lush northern accent. :) I think they pulled a bit of a Monica with this show. They took the meaning of Cobra Kai and they changed it to mean something else. Johnny's story is one of tv's best ever. Taken from a pretty two dimensional 80's villian, and transformed it into a conclusion where you are actually feeling true happiness for a fictional character. I'm having genuine happy tears for a make believe person. Zabka has proven what a total acting badass he really is, and a complete comedy genius! OMG do I love this show! lol
