Hello All!

Great episode! Finding out more about Mulder's childhood and the events that made him the person he is currently was so interesting, but I do feel for him. I enjoyed the parallels with the MOTW and Fox's story too. I hope to see his sister at some point, but I feel it could be a big moment, and I don't want to rush to that. Scully is continuously being pushed to flame Mulder and put him into hot water with work but it's great to see she's not throwing him under the bus.

Much love & many thanks

Dakara x

Very good episode

PongPong31

Was gonna save this for the weekend, but couldn't resist as I saw it pop up on notifications. I'm certain everyone is gonna drop tid bits and feedback about the episode, but I just wanna mention how jarring it was that there wasn't an intro to this particular episode at the start. "Hey guys Dakara here and welcome back to my channel..." Lol I know it's got to do with how you're approaching the show and it's eventual release on YT, but it genuinely caught me off guard.

DakaraJayne

Sorry! I won't make too big of a habit out of missing the intro out. I am thoroughly enjoying this show though, hopefully it goes down well on YouTube

No worries. Just felt like having strawberries after years of having blueberries for breakfast all of a sudden. You're good.

Mulder and Scully read the news article and know the police report, so they know how the mother got her hand burned. Also, when they finished interrogating Tessa, it can be assumed that she did admit to the murder of Greg, who got her pregnant. In part because he accused her of it and of killing Ruby, but she just said that she didn't kill Ruby because she wasn't there that night. After that, which we didn't see, they probably got her to write down her statement admitting to what she did. What's kinda funny is that if Tessa hadn't contacted Mulder and Scully, she probably would've gotten away with murder since no one was even looking in her direction or even knew about her. And now we see Mulder's driving force. What set him on his path at a young age. Good stuff.

I hadn't even noticed about Scully's summation not being there. I also like them, because they show how she sees the events that we've seen and how she relays that to the FBI, officially. I feel like they may not have her do that on most of the cases, but I don't really remember. I watched these when they aired (and on some reruns), but that was longer ago than "Fringe" and I didn't remember details of that either. 😂 I collected the DVD sets of this show, but I never watched them after I bought them, so it's been decades. This is very refreshing to rewatch again since I REALLY don't remember what happens. I do remember some of my favorite episodes. Some 'cause I found the concepts really cool or because they were funny. Oh yeah, some (very few) of the eps are funny. Minor spoiler.😁

A really good episode that I haven't seen in many years. Apart from the story itself, there were two characters that really put me in two different moods. I had completely forgotten that Donald Gibb was in this one as the burly bartender with the wild hair; the actor was also in Revenge of the Nerds (1984) as Ogre. The other character was the Sheriff; he had my dad's eyes and hair (in his later life). That first scene with him had so many memories running through my head. I hadn't seen my father since the early '90s. My half sister called me on April 29, 2025 to let me know he passed away that very night. I miss him.

I don't know if you got the connection but in the opening theme to the show, there's a moment where you see Mulder and Scully enter a room and there's a surprised look on their face. It was the moment when they entered Tooms apartment.

The information files would have come from Voyager 6. The satellite carried most of that information with it. In fact the ones we're shown were imprinted on a gold plated record. Some of the signal was bleeding through various satellite receivers in the form of "white noise". Mulder's sister is Samantha, btw. I agree that local law enforcement should keep an open mind when a case, but when someone has a long record of disappearances, even the most open mind will get cynical. Yes Gillian Anderson had great skin, but you have nice skin too. And you don't have a makeup crew.

Sending you all the love and hugs Brian

I see someone else already mentioned that Donald Gibb, who played the biker bartender, most famously played Ogre in Revenge of the Nerds. His other biggest role was as Jackson in Bloodsport with Jean Claude Van Damme. I kinda want to see you watch both of 'em, even though I sort of doubt you'd like them very much. 😆

Mulder looks smooth in his suit, but a proper lawman underneath who will ignore the red tape and follow the evidence to get the job done. As Scully said last episode, on the side of the victim not the bureau
