Hello All!

We have a wildling mother and her kids in this one and Mulder mesmerised by her...for her to be gunned down by authority. She did chow down on a few people though prior to her death... I do wonder if this case would fall under the X Files though? In other news, Scully goes on a date and checks out early, reuniting with Mulder and getting back to work.

Much love & many thanks

Dakara x

TROUBLESHOOTING:

Having trouble watching this video? Please follow the below steps:

- Please make sure you are signed into your Google Account to watch the google drive links. The links are temperamental if you are not signed in.

- If for whatever reason the links still aren't working for you, please try an alternative browser. For example, if you are using Microsoft edge, please try Google chrome. Again though, you must be signed into your google account.

- The above should solve your issues, in the odd case it doesn't, I can only put it down to it being a fresh upload and too many people are accessing the link...on this occasion I typically leave a temporary link at the bottom of the description. This lasts for 4 weeks after my initial posting. The exceeded views do reset so please be patient & try again on another day.

It might have been my imagination, but I think that Scully wanted to be rescued from that date. She seemed a bit uncomfortable. The Jersey Devil is a cryptid that's been around since the 1800's, I think. There have been sightings that date at least that far back. There has never been any evidence provided to establish it as more than a good camp fire story. The X-Files deals with no supernatural cases as such. Those cases are explained as aliens or top secret government projects. Otherwise the show is very interesting.

Why would you choose to make broad statements about the entire show in the comments of someone who is still watching the first season? Just let her watch and experience the show herself, she doesn't need anyone telling her what does or doesn't happen later in the show.

PongPong31

@Robert I would edit or delete the second half of your comment if I were were you.

I like that the professor automatically covered for Mulder. "Who? Mul...der? Never heard of it." 😂

Thadman

I feel like you're right about how Scully felt about dating and having a "normal" life in that it is what's expected and it's something that a lot of us just go on that automatic expectation. Going outside of that is a more difficult path. Sometimes we, like Scully, will think about "Does it HAVE to go that way? Do I want that?" She's in the beginning of that questioning stage.

Good reaction

I need to apologize to the room. I made a post without thinking about it's content. Other member pointed out that I may have given out spoilers. I reviewed my post as quickly as I could and saw that I did provide a spoiler. I edited the comment, and hope that no damage was done. However, I don't think I'm THAT lucky.

DakaraJayne

You are lucky, don't worry, it happens. When I get emails I get the latest ones first so I read Pongs reply saying about spoilers first so I didnt even read the comment to avoid that. The only way I'd be really unlucky is if no one else commented on it before I checked my emails! This community is the best <3 no harm done Robert

Robert

Thank you for saying that. It's a relief.

We all have been there eventually. I've seen people take the hide in plain sight approach and immediately spam out like 7 other comments in a row about other random made up stuff to confuse everyone who didn't already know.

The best part of this episode, for me, is Gregory Sierra, who played the anthropologist. The late Mr. Sierra had been in a zillion different things, like Sanford and Son and All In The Family, and favorites of mine, such as Star Trek Deep Space Nine and Soap. The worst part, for me, is that this bears pretty much zero resemblance to the actual legend of the Jersey Devil. I realize that the Jersey Devil, in the X-Files, could be 1) expensive, 2) possibly silly, and 3) too weird, even after the Stretch Armstrong episode. In theory. 🙂

Gillian Anderson is quite short and David Duchovny is quite tall. When they are standing next to eachother talking Gillian Anderson would often be standing on a platform to make her a couple of inches taller, called the Gilli-board amongst the crew
