Hello All!   More Drummer of all the time still stands, I ADORE HER!! The scene where she meets Filip was amazing and the Marco moments were so intense!!! I wanted her to see Naomi so badly! I fear for the safety all of them now. Loved the Clarissa and Amos scenes and the deep chat they had at the end. Thank the sweet lord Alex and Bobbie are also safe! What a close call though!

Enjoy the reaction,Much loveDakara xA huge shout out to my current sponsors in The Mark of Jayne:AC10 | Azraelov | Brian D | Chris M | David C | David G | Lord David S

BOOM Here thanks 😬😬😬 I really hope filming this was fun and relaxing and not at all stressful in any way..... You know cuz dem neighbors. Thanka so much. 😁

AC10

I haven't watched this show one episode a week since it first aired years ago. Multiple re-watches have all been multi-episode binges. Watching now one episode a week with you is giving me heart palpitations!!! The stress level is insane sometimes. I forgot what it was like.

Favorite day! Lets go

"I have killed but I'm not a killer. Because a killer is a monster, and monsters aren't afraid" - And then Amos thinks about that for a moment because as he has said, Amos hasn't felt fear since he was 5 years old. So maybe he's thinking that he might be a monster...

I've been passionate about all things Science Engineering Exploration Technology my entire life. Shows like this* naturally draw me in and way too often disappoint me because the writing and acting is so very different to the reality we experience every day. My love for this show is through the roof because of the combination of my life passions and the realism. I really feel like this show could be a realistic enough view of us Humans exploring the solar system in the not too distant future. Some dream of the Star Wars future. I dream of The Expanse future. (You know just all the best parts). The realism is insane on many levels, from the characters to the worlds to the ships and stations to the natural human differences between people who spent their entire lives in a very different world. Literally in this case. This shows writing clearly cared for once and chose to make a real effort to be accurate and relatable to the audience, no matter if they Space/SciFi geeks, while still being incredibly exciting and mysterious. You are constantly on the edge of your seat in the moment, desperate for the next piece of the story which could go in a 100 different ways... But as soon as the episode is over and you look back, the steps that lead you here seem so relatable. Almost obvious. Like how did I not see that coming? (There are SO many more breadcrumbs you notice for the 1st time on a re-watch too!!) It's a true testament to just how good the writing and acting are to have both experiences at the same time. And every episode and season feels better than the last. I don't know how they pulled it off but they did. Thanks for sharing this experience with us. 😬😬🤗

Next episode is a cut above can not wait for you to react to it

AHH!! 😭 The emotions are strong with this one. You nailed it. Another great example of how Amos is my favorite character. There are very close 2nds though.

Robert

Great writing. In some of the scenes, nothing was going on, but there was a dramatic feel to all of it. The writers let the scenes tell the stories. We see Avasarala trying to keep herself from falling apart, now she has something to occupy her. Alex and Bobbi are still very much alive, and fighting to stay that way. Gotta say, absolutely love Bobbi!❤️❤️ Most of the episode was spent On Drummer, and her meeting with Marcos. The woman is a brilliant actress. The way she showed nothing but rage and contempt without saying a word, or raising her voice. Also displaying leadership by listening to other opinions. I'm pretty sure that Marcos will try to have her killed. She's too smart and capable for him to let her live. But Camina Drummer is not the sort that you can catch napping. Also we have Amos and Clarissa making their way toward Baltimore. Again, no unnecessary dialog. Just two people getting from A to B. Amos, slipping into his "whatever it takes to survive", mentality, while Clarissa acts as a sounding board, until we reach the moment when she asks "Is it right, just because it's necessary?", or something to that effect. His reaction says it all. Great episode.

AC10

Well said. Sometimes the least words speak the most volume.

I knew you would adore this episode - if for the Amos stripping scene alone. 🤣😈

I love this episode. Not a lot happens that advances the main plot too much, but it is still thouroughly engrossing. Filled with heavy scenes and captivating, honest dialogue, the writers' brilliance is on full display here. Which makes what is yet to come that much more powerful.

PongPong31

The state of things and the absolute mayhem Marco has orchestred, reminded me of a scene in one of this season's earlier episodes, where Bull(the fella now piloting the Roci), says something along the lines of, "you think because someone is the underdog means that they're the good guy" I wonder if a lot of our outlooks on the dynamics between the belters and the earthers on Illus in season 4 would have been different. Quite a decent portion of us viewers tend to give the benefit of the doubt to the belters even after it's revealed that they commited mass murder and instead immediately cast the stink eye at Murtry. In that sense, the writers of the Expanse really know when the time is right to peel back another layer. Make one question things. To quite a certain northern lass, "This show"..... Also, I think Amos might be the most self aware character. The man is presented with something, and immediately realises what he needs to do.

Tony Leadholm

Some spot on analysis here... 👍👌

Lots of introspection in this one. For most characters. Holden looks lonely on the Roci full with new people that he probably views as strangers. Chrisjen having to face the possibility that her husband is lost and that they didn't part on the best terms. Drummer having to get through her grief and anger when reality drops in on her little fleet in the shape of Marcos free navy. Filip realising that his fathers version of history might not be thrue. "That guy" and Peaches keeping each other alive and struggling with their dark pasts. Only Alex and Bobbie had a quiet scene - only action. This in an episode that might be viewed as a transitional episode. This series is so good it is hard to find something, in any genre, to compare it to.

"This show is good!" AMEN, so good that it's the ONLY show I can easily rewatch through Reactors over and over and over again and still enjoy it, be tense, and on the edge of my seat through the Reactors as if it were the first watch through! Not only that but watching Reactors go through their journey with the show is an adventure in itself. By this point you can only say, "I love this show" and "Damn this show is so good!" The wonderful part even at this stage, the show IS still going to one up all the insanity you've seen up to this point and there's no way to predict how. You can only brace and I can't wait to see your reaction to 5x7! Until then, have a good rest of the week!

And then there's me who's always hating on the belters for being emotional idiots. :3

RickWA

I love the Amos/Clarissa segments in this episode. Not only for the development of their relationship, but the way the cinematography uses that snowy wilderness environment for effect. That long, slow aerial panoramic establishing shot, when we first see them at that emergency shelter, evoked such a dramatic pretext. And that long shot of them walking through the trees as Clarissa explains her family ties to the forest... it really accentuates the feeling of being the "silent observer" of these two travelling together through a scene that is both threatening yet oddly comforting at the same time. It's like the environment is a character itself. Brilliant stuff.

Muttley's Foundry Development

Fun little fact. Sugith Varughese who plays the new Secretary-General was a writer on the old 80s Fraggle Rock show.
