Holy Smokes! As if double X Files uploads weren't enough, Battle Star Galactica pilot on Friday? Not sure if it's going to win but I know what I'm gonna be voting for. The good times just keep on coming.

Creepy child/soul transfer is something common in that show.

Michelle sees dead people, or has the soul of a dead person attached to her. There are many cultural beliefs around the idea of a spirit clinging to the mortal plane by attaching itself to a newborn. Helping the spirit complete some task will get it to let go. Scully was right, what Mulder was suggesting was too far fetched for a jury. What they needed was evidence. Something that reasonable people could wrap their brains around, and show them a tangible connection between the incidents.

I like how you accept the weirdness of the show and get on Scully for not believing it, but when Mulder tells that true story of the guy that could influence undeveloped film (may have been proven as a trick since then, I haven't looked into it), that's where you said, "What?? Nooo." I was reminded of something a comedian said a long time ago when he and his friend was watching The Wizard of Oz and the Tin Man starts chopping the door that Dorothy was locked behind and his friend says, "Aw, FAKE! Where'd he get that axe from??" The comedian turns to him and says, "Oh, is this the point where the story loses all credibility for you?"🤣

With skeptics, they are not willing to just believe the supernatural explanation when they see something they can't explain. Sometimes they just run into a wall where they'll say that they still don't believe in (ghosts, telekinesis, aliens ,etc.), but they can't explain what they've experienced. I knew a guy in college who said that he didn't believe in ghosts, but he told me about something he saw that was very elaborate and detailed which a believer would say it's a ghost story (someone floating in front of him in his room, using hand gestures and mouth moving, but no sound and then it gets "pulled" into the bathroom). I asked, "OK, if you rule out a ghost, what did you see?" He just said, "I don't know." Me: "...but, not a ghost?" Him: "No."
