Hello All!

I tried to change the audio levels in this one and I hope it's a little better? Let me know please.

HOLY EXORCIST! Guys...you know I don't do horror films...the visual of this child going full demon will stay with me for awhile! I hope everyone learns the valuable lesson, never steal a child's balloon! I do think this X files case may return, it was open ended and the topic of being possessed by an evil entity seems likely!

Much love

There's an old superstition around exorcisms that the spirit will seek vengeance against you if it "knows" you. That is, if it recognizes you. Various cultures around the world have stories about twins. There were, probably still are, people who believe that twins can communicate telepathically with each other.

Well now. From a whimsical episode to the Exorcist. Everyone knows that you don't look a possessed person in the eye. Poor Mulder, what will be in store for him in the future...Also, can we get Scully a decent flashlight? I mean, seriously, a kerosene lantern would've been better. Also, the laugh that she got from Mulder at the beginning of the show was so sweet. I love those little bits of banter between them. When first watching the show, I wanted more of that, but I've come to view those little moments as a special little treat.

"What happened at the house Scully?" "A tornado suddenly hit us Mulder. Localised phenomena like this isn't unprecedented. It had Charlie's mother in the air and me pinned back against the wall. The lights were out and shadows of all sorts were casting about the room. The silhouette of a tree branch through the window even almost resembled the figure of a child. It was wild." "Scully...."

The Calusari was a an incredibly disturbing episode. As usual anything involving children is always hard hitting. Some families do have far too much terrible trauma in their lives. This was one of the only episodes that in the UK and Ireland has to be screened extra late as it had an 18 certificate. A very disturbing episode to re-watch. It of course has undertones of The Exorcist, and Buffyverse show Angel has an episode I've Got You Under My Skin with a possessed boy which is very similar to this. This one I thought was good in that it goes into serious questions about Good V Evil, the importance of Family, and also religious/cultural beliefs and death, it also shows how people deal with trauma and loss in their lives. We see both Mulder and Scully very sceptical of The Calusari's practices and strange beliefs. However it does ask questions about morality, spirituality, faith and fear of the unknown. I really like this one.

Ya, quick note, In the 90s, kids on a leash was a thing. It was funny to the point no one does it much anymore. But it IS funny because it worked.
