Rating - 8.5/10 - Did I mention how much I adore Jack? I love him <3 he's too cute. The scenes between him & Cas just made me melt! Also Jody is in this one so naturally love it that bit more. Love that we go some answers too regarding alt Kaia. I'm not too happy about Jack coughing up blood! Let's hope that's sorted asap!

Wow there's a lot of season 10 parallels here. I just rewatched your 10x01-10x03 reactions. Dean is back from being possessed/a demon, we have an angel/half angel being ill... and Sam/Dean dealing with the consequences of their actions!

You're good! Impressed that you immediately knew the necklace was involved. I love Jules, in fact, in my stories, she is a love interest for Cas.

I was so happy that they finally revisited the Dark Kaia plot it just stopping in season 13 always disappointed me I know it was probably because it was supposed to be apart of Wayward Sisters but I was still sad so was very happy they brought it up again overall this is probably my favourite season 14 episode so far but there is still plenty more to go haha!

YES u got it spot on, my precious nougat angel Jack is too precious for this world. Hes what people imagine Angels to be like i think, but a child version lol, so caring, sweet, selfless, pure and innocent, regardless of how much power he has. I love Jack so much and have never got so attached to a character so quickly, Fell in love with him since day 1 and he became my child after having his first nougat bar "I like it..I like Nougat". I have never doubted Jack being good and innocent and never would. Jack is so precious and caring that he takes everything on himself, anyone hes saved or tried to help that dies, he puts it all on him. Even when its not his fault at all, like Maggie in s13 finale, Jack started hyperventilating when seeing her body and said "I told her id protect her" then he gets Lucifer whos actully to blame to bring her back because hes so good and empathetic to all the good in the world. Jack deserves the world and it killed me seeing him cry and looks like it had same affect on papa Cas too. I got so worried seeing my baby Jack, sick and coughing up blood. Even more so because Jack probably assumes this is a normal human illness or he just doesnt want to worry his dads, or both. Either way i got so scared for Jack. Cas and Jack scenes are to die for, seeing Cas being an actual father is amazing. People think he was a dad to Claire and saw her as a daughter but i never did. Cas cares for her im sure and feels responsible for her and what happened to her but hes never felt or saw her as his child. Not when its compared to him and Jack anyways, Cas and Jack chose each other from the womb and bonded. Cas is raising Jack and teaching him, i love idea that Cas and Jack both have each other now for eternity, they wont be alone after Sam and Dean have lived their human lives.

So, you know me and Wayward Sisters, and how huge my disappointment was that they didn't go with it despite the idea coming from the fans, the continued fan support, the fact that there is a documentary about it...and an anthem...and a whole self actualization movement around it, but hey, who am I? Anyway, Bobo Berens was set to be show runner on the new series, and he was the one who wrote the Wayward Sisters episode setting up the basic stories that were going to be developed along side season 14 of Supernatural. Bobo also wrote this episode, and I feel like the line "I feel like I lost before I even got a chance to get started," was a way for Bobo to talk to us about our shared sadness. I also think Kim's delivery of the line was very personal for her.

Loved the reaction! I do admit though when the ep aired, I was lowkey disappointed with the last scene. Dean in the entire series has never been "possessed" by angel or demon whereas Sam has by both- last time against his will by a betrayal from Dean. I REALLY wanted a scene where Dean acknowledges that now he finally understands why Sam acted the way he did in s9 just like we got Sam apologising for not looking in purgatory! Because Sam has drowned, owned and abused by his possessors, he would know exactly whay Dean is going through. I love that in the last scene Sam had tears in his eyes - he obviously ached for his brother, but I also thought he could relate to him in that moment! 🥺

Good episode. I was suspicious of Dean with Michael just leaving on his own, and then his anxiousness to get the spear, Why? Something is fishy. Jack was feeling so useless without his powers, was glad to see Jack save the girl by reasoning out the problem, where Cas has had difficulty in this area, thinking like a hunter. A little worried about Jack coughing up blood, never a good sign, but they always like to keep it a secret. Same as Sam in season 8 when doing the trials. Always love seeing Jody, and her interactions with the boys is very maternal, even more than Mary's.

Love your appreciation of the Michael outfit. I especially like it without the suit jacket. His fight scene with Kaia is fun to watch. Jensen had to learn a completely different fighting style to use as Michael, and it’s effective at making it seem very ‘not Dean.’ Dean’s description of his possession feeling like drowning breaks my heart every time. It still annoys me that the show retconned Dean’s ability to kick Michael out of the vessel by telling him to “get out.” It should have worked except that the writers didn’t want it to. I love that you got chills when Cas came in and first saw Dean in the bunker.

Michele

I recall being so frustrated during this episode that it took them so long to realize it was the necklace. I was basically yelling it at the screen. Come on! lol It was tough seeing Dean so intense and angry in this episode. I was a bit pissed myself over getting hardly any Michael!Dean. After Demon Dean I had hoped TPTB would have given us longer this time. But nope. So I was pretty pissed over that. I was glad that Nick wasn't in this episode though. That was a bright side.

Did you see something at 19:51? At the same time your camera goes out of focus, like its trying to focus on something that... isn't there.

Josee (Griffe)

I'm always into characters more then into shows. Supernatural is not an exception. Only difference is that the characters got me in the pilot episode and never let go. And the relationships are an essential part of what makes this show so compelling. I remember seeing convention footage (probably from the first Paley Fest) where Kripke and Singer were retelllng how they approach Supernatural from two different directions; one was interested in telling the stories and the characters were the thread the audience was following to get there each week. The other was interested by how the stories would impact Sam and Dean, and where they would go after experiencing all those MotW. I think we got the best of both worlds right from the start. And we still get it in those Impala scenes.

This ep was okay. Nothing much happened except meeting Kaia from the bad place. Jody is baaaaack yay💚 Jack is so adorable I love my hubby so much. He’s feeling so useless without his powers but he saved someone’s life and I’m so glad it worked. Seeing Jack coughing up blood was the worst. I’m so worried bout him😪
