Rating - 9/10 - OH MY DIZZIE DAYS, my heart is in pain yet again!!! This ep had me a little hyped so my apologies for the end of ep discussion segment haha. I loved the sister Jo & Cas scenes. The Sam & Nick scenes had my blood boiling, I just wanted Sam to shut him up for good so badly haha. Jack sorted that though O.O yikes! MARY WINCHESTER! Brb while I cry a river...

I’m pretty sure the best thing to do would’ve been giving him a couple of minutes alone. He was asking for her to leave and his powers were spiralling because he was getting angry over sam and Dean finding out. Don’t forget he’d literally just murdered someone too which he didn’t want them to know about. Still, I’m not saying it’s her fault but she could’ve stopped it

that’s ur pov…Jack’s soulless and don’t forget he is a “child”. Sam and Dean didn’t know that Jack doesn’t have a soul but Cas saw Jack killing the snake and he didn’t tell the boys. Jack always told the boys he’s fine yeah well if someone says I’m fine he clearly isn’t. It’s the boys, Cas and Jack’s fault imo…but yeah everyone has diff opinions….

I totally missed the reason that Nick needed Jack's blood to conjure Lucifer. I thought it was because Lucifer was still drawn to his son's powers and that would lure him out of the Empty somehow (and I thought it was a silly plot point). It make a lot more sense that Jack's blood in conjucture with a spell will act as a key to the Empty, as he's want of Castiel in season 13 was able to wake the angel up. Still a convoluted point that does not aligned with what they showed us of that place in the past (why Lucifer was not sleeping in the Empty when Nick called on him?), but less silly then my first interpretation was.

And Mary at the beginning of the episode was a lot more like the Mary we met in... In The Beginning : her softer side being at the front of her personnality.

Glad you enjoy the blanket. I was huddled under my own watching this reaction. That scene where Sam's injured and Dean's worried face got me emotional. The relief when Jack healed him... I think we were all done with Nick/Lucifer this season! I still love Mark P as an actor though. I'm hoping he still attends London Comic Con in November. I want to do a photo session with him...

Okay long comment coming up so beware 😂 I basically agree with everything you said except Anael. I think she is one of the one of blandest characters on late seasons and literally serves no purpose for storyline. No hate on Danneel, she is great but Anael just...felt useless to me as far as story is concerned. 😬 As for Nick/Lucifer, I agree that he is just one of those most hated characters but when on screen, the audience feels like ohmygod "just shut up and die"😂. I only ever felt like this for him and Metatron on spn. Jack's soullessness will be an interesting thing to explore for sure- cant wait for you to figure it. And lastly, I think the reason Sam, whom we knew can singlehandedly overpower demons, angels, fell short with Nick is because he could possibly remind him of Lucifer- and trigger his ptsd. I think this is something Dean also understands in a way, he wants to keep Sam's anger away from Nick, but also Sam away in a way. Again love how this show even in very small moments never fails to deliver the importance of their bond- how Dean could hear Sam's pleas waay over in the other end of building, how Dean started to count to Sam like a kid when he was in mortal danger. I hope you notice that they always play it like this, Dean on freaking out watching Sam in peril puts on a brave face and tries to smile for Sam as if he is a kid who needs assurance. I love them sm.🥺

Yes, she would know by now, but you should NEVER presume. What if she had been delayed and hadn't watched the second one yet? Her 14x18 reaction would have been totally ruined.

Well I’m sure Dakara would’ve let us know on this ep description if she was delayed. Plus as soon as I watched this episode I assumed Jack killed Mary. Like I said sorry if it was a spoiler but this was my thoughts at the end of this episode.

I agree with you about Anael, but I also feel the same way about Jack. I think he's VERY VERY basic & bland, until we get him soulless. Then IMO he gets interesting. Not to knock Alek, because I think he's adorable, but Jack the character annoys me to no end until the end of S14.

I always wondered if some outside force was acting on Jack because he was in some kind of pain and there was a high pitched noise, but I guess it may have just been depicting his extreme internal turmoil. I don't blame Jack either. Sam was pretty bad without a soul and he wasn't a toddler/teenager like Jack, but a grown man with a lifetime of experience managing his extreme feelings and exercising his his best judgement. Also, when Jack heals Sam and Dean turns away and then turns back, the relief was so palpable. Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki can act the hell out of these characters! This is why the show regularly rips our hearts out. *nods*

I just love the fact that Danneel and Misha got those scenes together because Danneel came to the producers/writers and said: “You. Write us”. They are the best!!!

I wondered if you were going to guess from the early scene with Dean/Mary in the car, that they were writing Mary differently in this episode. It was great you picked up on it when she was nice again with Sam. For me it is unfortunate they didn’t write this side of her effectively (imo) until now. It gave me flashbacks to season one when Dean figured out that his dad was possessed by the demon because John was acting too nice. This isn’t exactly the same. Here, it is us who recognized that something was different because as you said, the writers had Mary was acting way nicer than in a typical episode.

So glad Nick/Lucifer is gone now. Jack is pretty scary though due to his power. Just wanted Mary to stop bugging him when he was walking away from her. Jack sounded scared when he said Mary at the end. Liked the scenes between Cas and Sister Jo. She is such an opportunist. Cas is worried about Jack, and how to tell Dean of his worries, Sam would be more understanding.

Oh I lowkey agree about Jack...too but cant say he serves no purpose to story because they basically centered entire 13-15 around him. Which is just :/

Nice ep and reaction. YOu can feel the psychological damage from Lucifer in Sams face in these late ep scenes. Nick has taken on some behaviour from Lucifer like singing to make people make mistakes. it was entertaining to see at the time.

I too wish they just let Sam kill Lucifer or nick, who cares how nick died, it was a quick death, more than he deserves, I don't get why Mary kept screaming no at jack when he was killing him, she was with jack in the AU world, she saw him kill angels before, it wouldn't even be his first kill, she tells jack that nick didn't deserve to die like this?! Excuse me, we already tried the jail thing & he escaped, he's very dangerous coz he is set on bringing Lucifer back & has the knowledge & the means, he had to die, I don't mind him suffering for a minute while dying, jack didn't do anything wrong, he saved her son's life & instead of being grateful, she went on abt how he did a bad thing, okay Mary, I get that she's concerned but maybe don't keep pushing when the most powerful soulless being in the universe is in visible distress & is telling u to stay back while holding his head in pain?!

Mary was right w Nick I’m sorry…Jack would’ve never done that. So many ppl judging him and everything instead of putting themselves in his shoes. He is soulless and still a “child”. I hate the word child cuz he isn’t but at the same time he is. He doesn’t know what’s good or bad, right or wrong. The best thing is still when ppl blame only Jack instead of everyone…
