I was literally going to start watching lucifer today BUT! Netflix only have seasons 4 & 5 so that's that then 🙄 one day dakara one day eh 🙂

DakaraJayne

Netflix only took over later on in the show but I think it's daft that they didn't get 1&2 for viewing!!

Petr Vitiska

You can easy find Seasons 1,2,3 online.

angelwhispers

Really looking forward to your reaction for the next two episodes!

Ian

Yes I can easily but I was hoping to chill in the lounge and watch it rather than at a computer desk 👍

David Strbavy

Emotional? We've only just begun. As has the endgame.

Chris Mick

Bloody hell. Even watching it this time around I "got something in my eye". I predict some deep breaths and long blinks on the horizon.

Robin

You're doomed. If you liked this episode for the emotional content, the last two are going to destroy you. They certainly did me in. Lucifer's decision to become God is so coming from the worst place, Amenadiel's refusal of the post is understandable from the family man perspective. Yet he did nothing but prove he was most definitely the best angel for the job, the panicle of that evidence was the conversation he had with Ella. I'm not Amenadiel's greatest fan but I could see the good in him at that moment. All the questions you have posed throughout season five regarding Michael are now answered. His "Big Plan" has always been to take over the throne, and now he stands poised to accomplish his goal. What we don't know for sure, that was alluded to just before he left, what was God's plan all along? I'm hoping that, unless I'd missed the point, we'll find out on Sep 10th.

If you get a USB cable you can connect it from a laptop to a TV and watch the Internet on your TV. USB cables are available online pretty cheaply. Like, single figure cheap.

This show is often at its best when it explores relationships between parents and children, and to me, season 5 really is the culmination of that, with this being one of the stand-out episodes. As far back as S1Ep10 "Pops" we've been getting these explorations. Also, if you go back to S2Ep16 "God Johnson", Dad here has finally said what Lucifer was convinced back then he would never hear from his father - but always wanted to. Full circle indeed! And as always just absolutely stellar acting from everyone involved, especially Tom Ellis.

I see all 5 seasons available on Netflix. Maybe not in your area, I guess.

Nothing Lasts Forever- Thank you very much for another fantastic reaction for Lucifer, Dakaral! This episode is easily another one of my favorite episodes from this season. I absolutely love it! I love so much about this episode, from Lucifer battling the guy with a wooden sword and just his arms and hands at the dojo, to meeting all these new angels at God's retirement party, Lucifer apologizing to Maze for keeping his secret about her mother from her and Maze finally recognizing that he really just wanted to protect her from the truth that Lilith didn't care about her at all, Lucifer deeming Maze the new Queen of Hell, Ella's overarching storyline and her being told that her light is seen by God all the way up in Heaven, Chloe's moment towards the end between her and her mother when they talk about Chloe's father, Chloe's moment with Lucifer when she talks to him about retiring herself from the LAPD to become his consultant to help him become God, Remiel coming down to warn Lucifer and Chloe about Michael's plans and her backing Lucifer in support of him becoming God, and then Michael gaining Azrael's blade from Gabriel in the very end and plotting something very bad. However, I especially love, love, love the goodbye scene in the end between God and the Goddess with their sons. I absolutely love seeing the Goddess of all Creation again in the form of Charlotte Richards once more. The biggest stand out moment within this episode for me is when God tells Lucifer He loves him and is proud of the man Lucifer has become at last. Words that Lucifer most certainly never believed he would ever hear from their father, but words from his father that he has so desperately been longing to hear from him, especially ever since he was banished from the Silver City and forced into Hell. So beautiful. Such a beautiful moment, and I absolutely love this moment so, so much!! The emotion that immediately comes over Lucifer upon hearing his father tell him He loves him for the first time in his very long and heartbreakingly tragic life is absolutely beautiful. Lucifer never believed he would ever hear these words from his father, which he has said as such back in season two's episode... God Johnson, in the ending of the episode when Lucifer is talking with Earl Johnson about his anger towards his father. So remembering that moment, and seeing Lucifer's emotions upon him breaking down the moment his father finally does say these words he's feared he would never hear... beautiful and so powerful. And seeing father and son embrace one another is so, so beautiful too. I just absolutely love this moment!!! :) Thank you, dear friend!! Until your next reactions for Lucifer... Sincerely, Heidi

The end was a great call back to S1, E9 (I think) when Father Frank told Lucifer that his Father's plan for him wasn't finished. I do think that right now Lucifer is wanting to be God for all the wrong reasons, which isn't a good thing for an omniscient being. Maybe another archangel will be better - like Zadkiel, the angel of Righteousness. The one who spit at Lucifer's feet.
Yes, this episode was very emotional, in a happy way. All three of these last episodes are emotional.

David Strbavy

You asked how Chloe would get money if she left the LAPD. Well, no matter what, Lucifer would make sure she was taken care of (even if he wasn't angling for his Father's position). Chloe's police salary would be a rounding error for Lucifer.

Jim Greer

The attention to detail is fantastic on this show . the mark on the back of the Goddesses neck from when Charlotte Richard was stabbed with the screwdriver was still there .
