                   *********************               SURPRISE!!                      *********************

Happy SPN Reaction day folks!

Let's get stuck into episode 20 of season 15!

So here it is...the last ever episode of SUPERNATURAL. What a journey it has been! This show has been an incredible experience. Getting to know you guys, being welcomed into the fandom & sharing my views on each episode whilst hearing your thoughts has been amazing! I cannot thank you all enough for joining me on this wild ride. I truly hope you enjoy my reaction to the final episode. I know there are a lot of passionate feelings around the ending  of the show. What I have shared is my honest view on things, I know  that I am in the minority with my views. After streaming, I got a lot of feedback & I totally understand why some people are disappointed. This show has been a massive part of so many people's lives. It would be difficult to please everyone, I don't envy the creators for that task! After time to process what I watched & talking with some of you, my thoughts remain the same on my initial viewing experience, there is however a lot that I would have changed if I was to do it myself BUT it hasn't dampened my experience whatsoever. I feel for those that were genuinely upset by what they saw. I hope those can find comfort in fan fiction & their own head canons when it comes to the ending too. I would LOVE an alternative ending to be recorded as a special thank you to the fans...but thats just me haha. I would love nothing more than to hear your thoughts on everything down below. Please be respectful of other people's opinions & views even if they do not meet your own. Be sensitive to those that feel hurt by the ending & try not to make those that enjoyed the ending feel void for doing so. This is a safe space & remember we are all here for the same reason - our LOVE for this INCREDIBLE show! <3

Anyhoo, I hope you enjoy this reaction & I hope to see you for Buffy The Vampire Slayer! Whoop whoop! Thank you so so much guys,

Much love

Dakara x

Rating - 9/10 - I got all the feels watching this. No surprises there! DAKRYA is back in full force guys! I hated seeing Dean die...hated it, my heart ached, physically ached! I was very confused as to why they didn't even attempt to contact Jack, sadge! They acted the hell out of that barn scene though guys! Wow! It felt so real after years of watching this show...sniff. I loved that the new heaven was put in place by Cas & Jack just in time for our boys to arrive and experience that. Of course I wish they weren't there at all and thriving on earth but at least they have peace together with their loved ones. Seeing our Bobby again warmed my heart. There is something so special about that character! I loved the montage at the end, it's what I wanted, I'd have loved a full episode of just those haha. Seeing Sam's son named Dean hit me, the blurred wife confused me & let's not talk about the wig guys...hahaha. I would have loved to see ALL of our special characters in this last episode, it's a shame that didn't happen tbh. Not seeing Castiel working with Jack was unbelievably sad too. Not finding out about angels in heaven & demons & Rowena in hell also bummed me out. What truly got me was the funeral...Sam was the only one there? Really? No Jody, Donna, the kids, Jack & Castiel watching over? So sad. I say all this BUT I still can over look those aspects because what I did see, I still enjoyed. Would I want more? ALWAYS I'm greedy haha but I do feel content with the ending & I truly hope you guys enjoy my views on things.

Is 6 a.m. here, woke up for bathroom and checked my notifications, and this is here, going to watch right now!! And then go back to sleep 🤣

Henryk

I liked the finale. Chuck wasn't writing their story anymore and Dean died on the most obvious reason for a Hunter. I was a little bit disappointed for not seeing any of the other regular actors but they filmed this during Covid and had many restrictions.

PongPong31

I LOVE YOU DAKARA! I had a terrible morning. None of my payment methods were going through and I knew this could be coming. Finally sorted it out barely 10mins ago and this is the first thing that pops up! I LOVED this episode. LOVED how everything ended. Started with the boys, and ended with them. Intimate, emotional and personal. Perfection in my opinion. Especially with all the logistical challenges the pandemic caused. Thank you so much. Thank you for sharing your journey with us. Looking forward to tagging along for what you have in store for us in the future. You're the best!

Emilu Drcosta

Can’t wait for you to catch up on all the drama that came after this episode that literally trended higher than the US election 😂 I think the premise of the episode was good in thought but there was a lot that needed to be there like is Sam’s blurry wife Eileen or a random person, is she even alive? Also after everything Cas has done for them he deserved more than a single name drop particularly when their original ending pre covid also looked to exclude him

Toasted Toad

Unfortunately, I can't watch this until later but I can't wait! I already said a lot of what I think in the stream, but it looks like my thoughts on the finale pretty much align with yours. A great finale, but not without flaws. The absence of characters was keenly felt (funnily enough, I didn't object to the absence of anyone at Dean's funeral - I felt that was Sam's choice (we have not heard from the programme makers that they ever intended to have anyone else there, although that doesn't mean they didn't) - just in Heaven). Why did they not ask Jack to save Dean? Firstly, Jack had said he was not going to interfere anymore, and second, Dean had finally learned from all their previous merry go rounds that cheating Death tends to lead to disaster. Are the Winchesters to get non stop special treatment? They live dangerous lives, and Dean was never going to stop (and so Sam probably would not have either. Have a fun stream today. Sorry I can't join!

Asa Wall

Thank you for this, I alsoreally liked the finale and I don't think we are the minority.

Michele

I was still awake when this popped up and I was totally surprised. Happily surprised. Having trouble sleeping tonight. So I'll likely just stay awake all night and show up for the stream, but maybe a bit sleepy. Good thing it's a saturday and I don't have to work! So, I also felt this was a realistic finale for this series. Doesn't mean I was happy that Dean died. I wasn't. I wish he'd had a full life too, with kids and everything. But, as long as there were monsters, Dean would be hunting and is life would be at risk with every hunt. I literally sobbed during the barn scene. It's been a long time since I've sobbed like that over a tv show. The last time was also for SPN I believe. When Dean went to hell. I didn't accept it at first, like a lot of others. Not like that! I started off angry, but it progressed to acceptance and understanding. I don't think the speech was too long. That spike was keeping Dean from bleeding out too fast. He'd never survive if he'd been moved. He'd likely have died within a minute. Sorry if that's too dark. The Winchesters don't invite people to their hunter's funerals. We know that. They never have. It's just them. But, I think that there would have been a wake. Jody or Donna would have held one even if Sam didn't want to. I had wanted more appearances too, but it didn't happen. It was such a bittersweet ending. Dean and his tragic life and Sam finally able to have a life and family. I hope they can find peace in Heaven. I've always doubted that they'd be content in heaven. At least doubted that Dean would be content. One thing that I like to think of is that Dean was watching Sam live his life while Dean was driving Baby down that long road in Heaven. And he stopped at the bridge because he knew Sam would be arriving soon. So he stopped and waited for him. And that is partly why Dean seemed so happy during that drive. And that's why Sam could feel Dean's presence when he got into the driver's seat in that garage.

Matthew Richson

Sure has been a journey hasn’t it? The last few seasons have been flawed, but they haven’t been completely devoid of their moments. Of course this one has them in spades. It’s surreal really. It’s going to feel strange not having Supernatural around here. I remember how it got me into this channel in the first place. Sure the ending was held back by COVID, but there’s nothing we can do about that, is what it is. I wouldn’t change it for the world. I’m curious as to what’s going to replace this mainstay to your channel.

Jenny Lee Villanueva

Dakara, I wish you would react to some of your iconic supernatural episode reactions.

Susan Sebert

I am sitting amongst a pile of tissues. Loved your reaction when Dean was impaled. That scene kills me every time I watch, and I have watched it several times and cry every time. You mentioned that only Sam was at the funeral, but I think that would be how Sam would want it. A lot of speculation if Sam married Eileen, could have been her in the background where he was playing catch with his son. I kind of liked that it pretty much just focused on Sam and Dean, since that was how the show started. The clothes they were wearing in the final scene on the bridge were very similar to the clothes they wore on the bridge in the pilot episode. There was going to be a big reunion at the Road House with a lot of the old characters but covid put a damper on that since they couldn't have that many people together inside. I liked how they handled Heaven, just the boys and Bobbie. I have the DVD of season 15 and the special feature stuff is great. Everyone talking about their experiences and BTS stuff. So many Easter eggs in the episode with the names of crew on signs and Robert Singer was the man that was laughing at Dean getting the pie in the face. Dakara, now you can watch all the convention videos you want, no spoilers anymore. I have enjoyed watching your reactions and crying along with you. Thank you.

Matthew Richson

Well, don’t think I’ll be watching those. Never was interested in that show really. But there’s always other ones, any idea what’s replacing Lucifer once that’s done?

idle mayhem

the thing that bothered me most about the finale aside from that accursed wig was dean’s death. i think he deserved to have a full, beautiful life just as much as sam did. i know others think differently, but he had grown past that overwhelming need to sacrifice himself and thinking that he *had* to die a bloody, awful death. of course, it was still a risk given the job, but he didn’t think that was his only option anymore. also, after some of the iconic fights that THE dean winchester had had, to have that underwhelming fight be his end… didn’t sit right with me. i remember being in total disbelief that they did it that soon in the ep and so abruptly. i’m also sad that covid made guest appearances in the ep damn near impossible.

Jang Kim

I'm so glad you shared your SN journey with us. I loved all of your reactions. I LOVE THE NOSE RING TOO!!! I thought season 15 (& finale) were amazing. Like you said, there were some plot holes. But considering there was quarantine, I think they did an amazing job. But I absolutely adored your reactions. Of all of my friends, only one watch SN. So, I got to experience it with someone who loved the show as much as I do. So, I thank you. I have never watched Lucifer but since you react to it, I am going to watch it as well. THANK YOU AGAIN for allowing me (and all of us) to take this journey with you.

idle mayhem

and then re: 15x18, i think cass deserved more than to have pined after/longed for someone with whom he wanted “something he knows can’t happen.” i think they wrote themselves into a corner with that deal with the empty. as a character, he deserved more. that said, it’s been so amazing watching this series through fresh eyes. thank you!

AussieOfSteel

And so it ends. I'm on the camp of liking the finale. To me it was the only logical ending. The Dean Winchester we've watched for 15 seasons, to me, couldn't be normal. He tried with Lisa and Ben, but the minute Sam came back he was gone. I still get quite emotional at Deans goodbye and death, I never used to because I knew there'd be another season, but knowing this was his permanent end, man. And I'm with you on being happy because the characters are happy in a rebuilt, better Heaven. I know you'll still upload the S15 Gag Reel but it feels weird knowing this is it. Cheers to SPN and you DJ!!

AdoptDontShopPets

Actually, it was 15x18 and Destiel that trended higher than the U.S. election, not the finale.

Amye Sabin

Something that didn't strike me until just the other day, is that I don't think Sam told Jody or Donna about Dean's death. Donna had her friend from Austin call <b>Dean's</b> other, other phone. Why would she do that if she knew Dean was gone? Why not just give him Sam's?<p></p> <p>Seeing Sam alone with Miracle is heartbreaking. As is them continuing to show the table with everyone's name/initials and out of all of them, Sam is the only one left. The song 'Brothers In Arms' is perfect, as well.</p> <p>I'm one who liked the ending okay. Yes, I would've like to hear Sam say "thank you" for all Dean's done for him through the years, but he was in shock I guess. Yes, I would've liked to have the Kansas concert in Heaven, and now there will never be one even at Cons - as originally sung - because one of the original band members just passed recently. But at the time of filming Kansas was on tour and they couldn't afford the two week isolation waiting period that Canada required. I wish they would've gotten an actress - any actress - to play Sam's wife. I'm not sure it's Eileen, because the woman's hair is lighter. Then again, the actor who plays Dean II looks like Eileen, so maybe I can see it both ways.</p> <p>Thank you for taking us on this journey with you. We thoroughly enjoyed it and you. It's hard seeing the ending, but there is so much to explore with Cons and videos.</p>

Fernando Ducer

Thank you Dakara for sharing your amazing journey through this show with us. It is an amazing show indeed. I believe I've watched the majority of the show at least 8 times total and the final two seasons twice with your reactions. I absolutely love your reactions, your content in general and just being here for whatever you may need from me. I am always glad to help in any way that I can. Moving forward from the Supernatural reactions with the shows that will come next, I will always choose to be here no matter what. This is home for me and I appreciate you and love you and everyone else from this community that just keeps growing. I don't have much to say about the episodes so I am not going to ramble. I got a lot more emotional watching your reaction than when I watched these episodes by myself for some reason. I believe it is because mentally and emotionally I am in a better place now. I've been a mess in previous years, but let's leave that in the past. Thank you again for the amazing journey. Let's carry on!

Brenda Lewis

Wow, what do I say about this journey. I started following you back in Season 2. First on YouTube then Patreon. You were the first creator I started following here and you have just blossomed on this platform. From start to finish a true fan of the show! I really did like the ending and it did make sense to me. Dean could never have walked away from hunting if Sam had died. If one of them was going to leave the life, it was always gonna be Sam. Seeing Dean get "the heaven he deserved" gave me such peace for a character who most of his life thought he didn't deserve anything. To me it was his greatest reward for all the faith and love he had in him. So I was already crying my eyes out and then they go and show "little" Dean and that sent me over the edge. I was literally standing in front on the tv clutching a pillow sobbing. Horrible sight, glad I was alone. Anyway I am looking forward to new content and I still have the gift of your amazing library. Maybe sometime a re-watch or two of your all time favorite episodes?

Amye Sabin

I just finished the series (<i>Lucifer</i>) and am re-watching the whole thing again w/Dakara to see it in it's entirety. I hope you'll love it as much as we do!

Amye Sabin

I believe it is <i>The Good Place</i>

AdoptDontShopPets

Surprised it took nearly a year to recognize one of the major frustrations people have with the finale. Other than the reference to Donna on the phone, letting us know that Jack likely returned everyone and that Sam is speaking to no one, the finale was entirely void of found family that wasn’t in season 1…other than hearing “Cas helped.” We even had blurry wife and no one but Winchesters in the photos by Sam’s deathbed, leaving the impression that nothing really matters but blood when that is opposite to what the show grew to become since Bobby’s iconic line in season 3.

Chrissy

I still have mixed feelings about this episode. I’ve loved Dean for 15 years and man, it hurt when Dean died. Still does, but I can understand that Jack is hands off, that their story is not written anymore, that anything can happen…..and it did. With hunters funerals, the actual fire is mostly for the most direct to the hunter, so in this case Sam, abs then if there’s a wake, that’s when friends come together. Do I feel Dean deserved a chance at life? Absolutely. Dean sacrificed everything for Sam and he still got….nothing but death, the same thing he’s said since season 1 BUT over 15 years he’d progressed, developed as a character then he regressed right back to the start. If you want to analyze it deeper, I’ve seen people say that the motto for 15 years, “family don’t end with blood” actually did just that. It was always that family, Cas included, worked together to bring someone back if they died, it kind of erased that, I somewhat agree with that. Absolutely, without doubt, Cas should have been in the finale. Such an integral part of the show and just not there. Yes, I understand Covid was rampant at the time, but other characters were able to be there, why not Cas? I so, so wanted to see Cas’s reaction to Jack becoming God, to have Dean see Cas in Heaven, for us just to hear the words that Kevin, his mom, Charlie, were in Heaven, didn’t need to see it but did need to hear it. I’m not a big fan of “leave it to your interpretation” I’ve just always seen that as lazy writing, I absolutely needed closure on those things. Deans speech as he was dying, broke me. I cannot fault that because it was beautiful and I cried from the soul. I would have waited years for the original ending that had been put down on paper abs was actually going to be the ending…..before Covid and that was Dean welcomed into Heaven at Harvelles by everyone who had impacted their life, Kevin, Charlie and so on. The actual bandKansas was supposed to be there playing “wayward son” and then Sam shows up. THAT was the perfect ending. I won’t ever love or really like this episode, but this show I’ll love forever. I still rewatch episodes all the time and I introduced my daughter too it and I rewatched with her again and binged 15 seasons in two months. She loves these characters like family as do I. It’s an amazing journey and I’m glad I got to visually experience that with you.

Chrissy

Little things I did like as much as something like this can be was that Sam wore Deans watch everyday, that when Sams making breakfast in the bunker alone, he’s wearing Deans gray hoodie from the episode “book of the dammed” in season 10. I can’t understand why as Sams dying, you don’t see pictures of Cas and Jack? Little details that should have been there. The acoustic version of “wayward son” is just beautiful.

Josee (Griffe)

It is indeed the frustrating part of the finale(s) : the fact that the production chose not to allude to their found family at all. I get Sam wanting to grieve alone and the decision to make the finale about the brothers, but it feels like that choice kind of negate half of the the series.

Josee (Griffe)

I was ok with the finale, but I liked it better watching it a second time, with some emotional distance and knowing what's coming. And watching it along you! Thanks for the journey, Dakara Jayne!

Chrissy

Don’t know if you noticed but the clothes they both are wearing at the end are the clothes they wore in the first episode. And you don’t go to Heaven old, I believe you go back to the age when you were at your best

Chrissy

That what you thought was a contract in Deans room was an application for a job on a construction site…so yes, he did want a shot at a normal life

Chrissy

They were the same exact clothes

Vlad47

Well its done. Great show from S1-11. Then it just went downstream. It went downstream already in S9 but S12 was the real turning point where the show just doesnt even try to make sense anymore. Iconic characters like Death, Michael, Gabriel, Lucifer, Chuck, Amara just being so wasted.. S13-15 revolving around Jack.. That ass-pull destiel moment in S15x18 where Misha finally managed to ruin his once so iconic character with his woke bs.. Im done

Hasnaa

The episode that trended over the US election was 15x18 not the finale

Dawn Chisholm

I loved all the seasons, some more than others admittedly, but they were all still enjoyable. Ep20 destroyed me. I still can watch it without bawling my eyes out. Especially when you see that when Sam leaves the bunker he appears to have one of Deans Jackets, and also when he dies hes wearing Deans watch.

Ed Green

Personally I love that 13-15 revolved around Jack. As for 15x18, it's Cas telling Dean he loves him. Whether sexuality comes into that or not, I'd say that you are the one who is suffering from bs. I believe in being nice to people though, so I'm going to tell you that I love you, and mean it. It doesn't sound from your comment like people say that to you very much.

Andrew Heintz

Thank you for sharing this journey with us! Its been a great ride and has especially been helpful in the last few months after losing my father. I'm truly grateful for helping me get through this tough time. I liked both finales. They weren't perfect but it was going to be hard to make a finale that pleases everybody. I guess they could have asked, but Jack said he was going to be a hands off God so healing Dean would have gone against that. Dean's death was alright with me too. One that vamp was massive lol and two rebar isn't anything to play around with. I get why people wanted to see Cas and Jack in heaven, but in a way I'm glad it ended the way it started with just Sam and Dean( and a little Bobby).

Vlad47

nazi-username trying to be some moral voice

JoDaNa81

Season 13's one of my favorite seasons.

Marta T

For me finale was fantastic. I actually appreciate that it was cantered around Sam and Dean only. Of course love that our Bobby was there as well. missed him very much. As much as I liked most of the other characters I really wanted the last episode to be focused on Sam and Dean. I was devastated with Deans death, but in the end of the day he died doing something that was so important to him- saving lives. I actually felt more sorry for Sam. When Dean spent time driving and waiting for him during one song, Sam literally spend decades grieving after him. My theory why Sam was young again in heaven is because he went back to look (age) when he was happiest. That time when it was only him and Dean before the vamp hunt. Loved the reaction.

Hasnaa

The paper that was on dean's drawer isn't a contract, it's a job application, he was giving the normal life another go 😭, i am still not over dean telling sam "that pain won't go away but if we don't keep living then those sacrifices (cas) were for nothing" then dying six months later?! So the sacrifices were for nothing then

Heather McKirdy

It’s been a joy to rewatch this show again with you! I personally loved the ending, you coped a lot better than I did, I was full on sobbing during deans death scene, I’ve only managed to rewatch it once. It makes sense to me that dean died because I think if he hadn’t they both would of continued to hunt until they were old and Sam would never of had his ‘normal’ life. Also even though I’ve only rewatched it once so far I already noticed some Easter eggs to the past which is cool.

Butterfleaz

Here we are, the last episode 😭😭 I still don’t know how I feel about this finale, but I’m definitely sure that I cry as much as I have watching it for the first time (and your reaction is only the second time I’ve watch this episode 😭) Also I’m writing this comment while drinking vodka (because wine is not enough at this point 😂), so sorry if it’s not a very constructive comment 😂 But god I loved your reaction as always, and I’m waiting patiently for other supernatural content ❤️

Elena Smith

I haven't watched this reaction yet but I'm bawling like a baby just thinking about watching this episode again

Lefwyn

Thank you Dakara for sharing this amazing journey of Supernatural with us. :) SPN Family Forever! <3

Ed Green

Personally I think this is a perfect ending for Dean. He goes out hunting, just like he always expected - he would never have been able to know peace by retiring from hunting (and without Chuck enabling them, this is the way hunting usually ends for all hunters). This way he gets to have it in the Heaven of Jack and Cas's creation: he carried on, the wayward son, and there is peace now he is done. Sam we knew could quit hunting, and he did. Shame about COVID getting in the way of seeing more of his family - but I remain convinced that Eileen is his wife and the mother of his son. Also COVID is what prevented others from meeting Dean in Heaven, such as original Charlie, Ellen, Jo etc. Dean has risen above the noise and confusion: he has laid his weary head to rest, and cries no more. For the bleak show that SPN has been from the start, this is the best, most thematically fitting, and happiest ending I could have hoped for.

Ed Green

'If we don't keep living' does NOT mean 'if we don't stay alive'. 'Keep living' means 'live life to the fullest while you can'. For Dean, that means continuing to hunt, just as it also means exploring other, more stable methods of employment that don't involve hustling pool. This was the only way Dean could keep living: the sacrifices were so he could be himself.

Ashley

Thanks for sharing this journey with us Dakara! It's been so fun to rewatch the show with you and see it from someone else's perspective. I've already expressed a lot of my opinions about the finale on stream/discord so I'll try to keep this short lol. There were things I didn't like, things I did like, things I wish they would have executed a bit better(Sam's wig being one of them lol), but it didn't leave me feeling disappointed or angry. I felt satisfied with this being the end. I actually enjoyed it more watching it again with you. Probably because I didn't have any of the anticipation/anxiety this time around. I was able to just absorb it without being so critical of everything. I think Jensen and Jared did a very good job with this episode and it was nice to see just the boys going on a hunt together one last time. Reminded me a lot of season 1. Glad you weren't disappointed with this finale and I look forward to your future content! Keep calm and carry on 😆

ElysiaFields19

Jack saw the terrible mistake Chuck made as he re-wrote, reserrected, and wrapped his favorite Winchester's in nearly indestructible plot armor. When he told Sam and Dean he would be hands off, personally thought it was an unspoken understanding there would be no meddling with their lives as they lived completely free with no one manipulating them. Sadly, that meant no saving them when tragedy by occurred because that's what happens in real life. Some people raged about Dean being taken out by a piece of rebar after all he survived in the past but there was no longer someone secretly writing a grandiose story; look back at all the instances in the physical fights alone that logically, the brothers should have suffered broken bones, internal bleeding, fallen into a coma or been crippled for life. What happened to Dean in the end was the kind of tragic accident that could happen to anyone in the hunter life.

ElysiaFields19

And......my cat just posted before I was finished. This isn't the first he's done that 🐈

ElysiaFields19

Dakara, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your journey. Watching you fall in love with what will always be my favorite show, was such a joy for me. Of course I'll continue to follow you but my heart and soul will forever belong to Supernatural. Rewatches in your future? So many fan edits that focus on specific topics and point them out for every season, or watching every scene with Chuck throughout the series, the evolution of Rowena, evolution of Dean and Castiel's relationship, those kind of videos are a lot of fun and sometimes surprising.

AdoptDontShopPets

I 100% understand why many like the finale. Given the lack of empathy and the personal attacks made on those who expressed a negative view in the 15x19 comments, I am not going to share my views here because I do not feel they are wanted. That lack of empathy and bullying is why I left the discord for six months after the finale. I see that undercurrent remains. While I loved Buffy, and Angel was my favorite show before SPN, I cannot see embarking on that journey with this group at this time, so adieu.

Ed Green

It's an anti-Nazi username. Have you watched The Sound of Music or read some history or botany? Perhaps not: if that's your response to being told that you are loved, you must be very unhappy indeed. Look after yourself.

Vlad47

Stop being personal. I stated my opinion here. If you are offended at my remark cause you are such an nice, tolerant, woke person then go ahead.

Jack

This show has meant so much to me for years. I’ve watched these reactions since you started and it’s going to be odd not watching you watch supernatural anymore. I have mixed feelings in the finale. Dean deserved better and I think there’s stuff they could have done even with COVID restricting them from getting actors back. It was so good to see OG Bobby again, and seeing Sam with a family was great. I like to think that the blurry woman was Eileen. Now you’ve seen the whole show I think it would be great for you to do a rating of all the seasons from worst to best and discuss your top ten favourite and least favourite episodes. It would be interesting to see how you’d compare each season

Absolutely loved your reaction to the finale. Actually, I loved all your reactions to this show from the beginning (I’ve been an early, quiet, follower long before I started dropping my lousy gifs/comments under your tweets). Thank you for sharing your emotions, your empathy, your opinions with us. It’s been an absolute pleasure following you and watching you become (imo) one of the best and most genuine reactors around (which is why you are the only one I am sponsoring on Patreon). Of course, I have nothing to do with your personal development and your achievements, but still, I am proud of you. The end of your Supernatural reactions is an end, but it won’t be the end of my interest in your work. Thanks again and Carry on Dakara! ;)

Wow, I really suck at posting. Typing on a relic and it’s a big production. I will successfully post this...I will! Okay, so...wow! I wasn’t expecting you to post so early, so I’m late to the party. I just wanted to thank you so very much for allowing me to follow your journey. Can’t remember when I started to watch, but it’s been a few-ish years. There were many times as I watched live that I would think, “Oh, I can’t wait for Dakara to react to this episode!”, or “I bet Dakara will be in tears when she watches this part.” It was always so fun to watch you watch those long anticipated moments. Thank you so very much. Your reactions have given me so much joy.

I just watched it and I’m tearing up

Thank you for your reactions. They helped me through the isolation of Covid and the agoraphobia it made me develop. I first watched it when I was sick with Lyme disease. And rewatching it with you made me feel not alone, like I was watching it with a friend.

It's a shame they ended like this. 15 seasons and this is what we get. I felt empty after watching it. It was the same feeling I had after watching the last episode of Lost, it made everything feel empty and pointless. Jensen was right, he did not like the script when he first saw it. He didn't feel it was the right way to end the show. He even called Eric Kripke for his opinion. He said Kripke helped make sense of what the writers were going for and made him feel a bit better about it. Only my opinion but the best way to end the show was the way they ended the 200th. "Just the two of us, on the road", "The two of us against the world" and a shot of the Impala speeding away into the distance on a dark lonely highway. Instead what we got was disappointing. They dropped the ball on this one.

I absolutely adored the finale. It broke my heart, but in the best of ways. Dean went out exactly as he always predicted and wanted to - hunting. And, Sam got the “semi-normal” life he’d wanted, and that Dean had wanted for him. The only thing I regretted was that C*v*d precluded all the returns they wanted to include. I think there would have been a few friends with Sam at Dean’s pyre as well as a few more to welcome them into Heaven. Personally I think the show ended in the best way possible. Having Jim appear (as our Bobby) was a wonderful touch. He’s the only one, besides Jared, Jensen, and Baby to appear in every season of the show. I’ve loved every minute of watching your journey through the show, and I can’t wait to continue along with you on your next adventures!

Thanks Dakara for giving me nice way to re-watch the show. I've had fun. I guess I'm in the "majority" who find the finale preposterous and a betrayal of the shows themes. I get why some people might like it, this type of ending can work. I've seen it done before and done well which definitely contributed to souring my view of it on Supernatural where it seemed tacked on without justification.

I feel like Supernatural has four possible ending points. The end of season 5 completes the initial arc. The end of season 11 is pretty much wrapped up(minus the last ten second Mary appearance), defeated an enemy as powerful as God with the power of sibling love and there is no more mega threats on the horizon. Season 15 episode 19 - Chuck is defeated and the boys can write their own story, they no longer live to entertain Chuck (or the meta implication of no longer entertain, us, the viewer). They drive off into the sunset and we no longer have a right to view it. This finale - This is the weakest of all of them in my opinion, it kinda undermines the entire Chuck/Audience meta thing they were going for. Dean dying as he did makes sense from a narrative point of view but now that they shouldn't be bound by those structures he could just as easily have become a mechanic. I don't hate it but I think I would have preferred it ending at any of the above points, the end of season 11 would have been my preferred option although we would have lost some good stuff I don't think the seasons post that point measured up that well. In the end though at least it wasn't GOT bad. Thanks for the reactions and I'm looking forward to some adventures in Sunnydale.

FINALLY HAVE DECENT NET AND I'M STARTING NOW. BRB.

I think the sad thing is that Sam didn't really get his happy, normal life -- buttt he was strong enough to carry on as a sort of tribute. Dean would have never been able to do that successfully. He doesn't have the ability to let go of Sam even if he knew Sam was happy due to his strange hold on being guardian/protector. Man, this is crazy. I've watched all the way through with you, and it's crazyyyy. Literally witnessed you throughout your pregnancy and the time after, pretty cool. Got me back into Lucifer, too! And yiiii, I really hope you continue watching SPN-adjacent stuff. This finale was COVID-times so it explains a lot of the exclusions, but... tbh, I feel like it was really important it was heavy on the three mains: Dean, Sam, Baby.

I always knew Superatural would end with the boys both being in heaven, so it wasn't a shock to me it was just what I imagined. Dean got the death he always wanted by going out hunting and dieing young(ish). While Sam got the death he always wanted living his normal life and growing old.

Valcor

I have been waiting for your reaction to Bobby meeting Dean in heaven, because I knew you were going to love that! Your reaction was exactly as I imagined. When Dean got in the car and carry on starting playing I broke down crying and had the same reaction as you "I love this show". We might not have got a road so far in the typical sense, but saving carry on for the ending somehow made it more emotional. Thank you for your reactions it has been a great journey! Now your reactions have ended it feels like the show is ending all over again.

Valcor

Couldn't agree anymore with everything you said! That's exactly how I see the ending and to me it fits the show and characters perfectly. Like you said the only thing I would change is to have Dean's funeral and heaven reunion filled with alot more characters. But we can't blame the writers for that since they did plan to do exactly that but C*v*d ruined it

Valcor

The reason alot of people are missing from this episode is Covid. The guys behind the show confirmed that everyone was meant to return for a huge reunion at the roadhouse in heaven. If there was one thing I could change, it would be that covid didn't impact the show so much! I think Dean's funeral definitely would have had some familiar faces to send him off. In a way tho I am happy that it ended with just Sam, Dean and Bobby. Since they were the trio that started it all and made me love the show.

Valcor

Dean taking a drive in heaven while he waited and they played a montage of Sams life was beautiful. I love how they timed the 2nd version of carry ons lyrics to line up perfectly with Dean finishing his drive and waiting for Sam. "surely heaven waits for you" That part destroyed me when I watched it! Along with Dean saying the iconic line of "Hello Sammy" which I no lie said right before he did.

NSTG_Eddie

I agree with you Dakara I was and I'm Content with this ending! The only thing i wish that the Original Heaven Scenes that were planned but of course covid screwed everyone coming back for it! But Side Note When Dean Starts the impala and carry on starts, Originally the plan was Kansas To Active Play it Live!!!!! I'm and alot of other spn family members are heartbroken this didn't happen thanks to Covid!! Anyway misus all That i Gave it a 9.5/10 And still Believe in my Mind its a proper Rating For The Finale!! But The Long Road Home No Contest 10/10! It was Amazing Probably Best End Of Series Documentary I've Ever Seen! And Dakara Don't Feel Too Bad I was Same as you I was Sobbing And was Thinking this show it trying to kill me! Mainly Cause Dean is My Boy! Anyway Great Reaction Dakara i am on season 8 of your Reactions so i will watch them all! And Afterwards Check Out your others Reactions! <3

14 Seasons and 19 episodes of "I hate this show" might have a role to play in how beautiful and emotional it was to hear in the final one - "I love this show". I don't know why but it feels like it was the strongest moment of the whole journey. It was already a classic - the show - but watching it again with you only added up to my emotions for this show. Every single time you broke into tears on this whole journey, it felt like our hearts getting ripped off our chests and I speak for each and every single one of us who watch your reactions. Loved your reaction, all of them. I can't admit it to myself that I've watched the last of it with you. I really just wanted to give you a huge hug when the Sammy's hospital scene was on and that special version of "Carry On My Wayward Son" kicked in. When I first watched it, it felt like my heart was getting torn to shreds and there's just not enough time to pick them up. I know I might've started to sound a little weird but you understand how difficult it is to express emotions on this one. Anyway, good luck on the journey ahead, with other superhit tv shows, other mini web series.. but we all know one thing for sure, there won't be any other like this one.
