I think with Linda's "book hell loop" she didn't mean for it to be taken literally. Possibly trying to get across that it was hell watching her friends reading her work in progress... even though it probably shouldn't have been in progress in the first place. I guess a similar feeling if you imagine uploading an unedited video. But we'd still appreciate and love it (and you).

Yes to your reasoning about Chloe. She is flawed and when she realizes that she is wrong she goes back and admits to it and in this case shows that her doubts about L. are fears what her future and life without him will be. I feel the same with Linda and her book. Her being the therapist to the devil and god made her a bit arrogant and keeping the book a secret was def. a flaw. Bringing back the real Linda means also realizing she is not perfect. But I do think that both plot lines visualize in the show itself that talking about insecurites and learning from mistakes is the only way foward. And please, your summarizing your thoughts and ideas are most enjoyable, raw and unabrigded. Don't change that.

Another great reaction...thank you. I really loved this episode even though I felt it was the beginning of the goodbyes and that made me tear up somewhat. I think it was very much a love letter from the writers to the Lucifans with so many callbacks and memories that yes, moved the story on but also reminded us of why we love this Show. As to Chloe, I think she is just struggling to make sense of the fact that Rory is adamant that Lucifer leaves them and she grows up without a father. This must be difficult for Chloe to comprehend how this could happen so in reading those sections of Linda's book, she was struck by the fact that he had disappeared out of her life before, sometimes with no explanation and maybe she thought that even though she trusts him, his actions aren't always consciously thought through. I do believe she doesn't doubt him in that he would never want to leave but maybe feared he won't have control over what leads to him going...if that makes sense. Sometimes in talking and voicing fears out aloud we can calm those fears and maybe realise they were not totally justified this time? I believe that is what she was doing. For Linda, I never thought we had lost her but she has changed. How could she not have changed- she counselled God on her couch so how can she be as normal Linda ever again. I have liked how she seems different this season because I would expect she feels - where do I go from here?- I think she must feel a little flat after all that has happened and because of her help. Even though at times she feels she has failed to achieve what she thought she should all the time, I think she is still the Queen or better still as you said- the real Angel of the Show so it was beautiful to hear Luci express his thanks for all she has done. She needed to hear that- I needed to hear that too. When you stopped the video to make a prediction about Ella, I yelled YES! You called it- she had to withold this big secret from him and I think Carol made her realise exactly what you thought too...you don't have to know every detail to know someone's heart and if you know someone's heart, then you know how they feel about you. I hope Ella will take this forward and understand that no one meant to hurt her. I wish we had more and more episodes rather than just the two left...I can feel the tears pricking my eyes all over again at all the memories past and what is still to come.

Ella has super low self esteem, and a feature of that is always having a voice in your head telling you that your friends aren't really your friends, that they find you embarrassing and that they're secretly laughing at you. So to find out that her friends actually were keeping a massive secret from her is very upsetting, because it's like having your worst nightmares partly confirmed. What pulls her out of it is realising their good intentions.

The way I see it, Chloe has faith in Lucifer's good intentions as a person and in their relationship, but worries that he may have unrealised feelings that will cause him to act differently than how he wants. Lucifer reconciling his conscious and subconscious minds should allay those fears, because it means that he will only leave if he chooses to.

I think Linda's book situation makes sense in terms of she has done so much but never felt recognized - but that's also her personal flaw. I know Linda's done unprofessional things, like sleeping with her client, but writing a book about a client using therapy notes behind their back is... grossly unprofessional. Lucifer might be okay with it but he never gave permission, so I think getting rid of it was probably the right course of action. That would have been a huge breach of confidentiality especially since she kept hiding it from Lucifer, and as Dan stated it's cruel to everyone else too, his parents would read that interpretation of him. I do wish Linda had some more of a call out for writing it but I'm glad she seems to have got the validtion she needed and can go forward in a better direction.
