Happy Bank Holiday Monday everyone <3

Here's another TGP reaction for you all to enjoy,

What a way to wrap up a season! HOLY! I looooved the twist of them being given a second chance on earth! Michael wanting Eleanor to succeed so bad is warming my heart! The relationships in this show are so special. I hope they succeed! Eleanor is a new version of herself for sure, there will be dips and hiccups, that's natural & I love that we get to see her journey there. I wanna see our group in the real world now!!! Bring on S3!!

Thank you all so so much for watching, I will look forward to reading your comments as always,

Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

To quote a certain someone, "This show!" After that twist at the end of Season 1, I was almost certain that they'd have problems keeping the show fresh. Nope. Such intelligent and original writing. Definitely one of the best things on television over the past decade. I completely agree with your take, on the group dynamic being the glue that keeps them going and growing. Without all 4 of them together, and Michael and Janet by their sides, this would not work. On to Season 3!

It's pretty incredible isn't it? I also felt there was VERY little chance they could follow the momentum of the Michael twist... yet somehow the twists keep coming and the story keeps changing for the better.

Chidi in episode 2x10 "the circumstances under which we met are completely insane. And that just makes the grinding harder. I just wish we met the way normal people meet. Like at a philosophy conference, or after one of my philosophy lectures. OR YOU CAME KNOCKING ON MY OFFICE DOOR ASKING FOR HELP WITH PHILOSOPHY. Eleanor: Is that how you think people meet? Chidi finally expressed his feelings this episode which is huge for his character. I love the show and how they call back to other moments. Eleanor was saved by micheal from those carts so he was Vicky(remember that was the fake story) Showing relapse is another great lesson because people are not perfect. They fail and falter sometimes and that is fine as long as you keep trying.

A week late comment: I love that you’re reading that book! I found both this show and that book 3-4 years ago when life had twists and turns that fucked me up. These two helped me so much navigate my feelings and my thoughts, I have no idea who I’d be today haven’t they crossed my path, so I’m just really happy when I see someone also enjoying them. ☺️ Thanks again for sharing your reactions and thoughts (which makes for a pretty weird modern form of connection that I happen to love) ❤️

When Eleanor types the name of the book into Google, you can very briefly see that her previous searches include 'what is this gross thing on my foot' and 'which AZ Diamondbacks players are single'.

I really think this is one of the greatest series finales of a show I've ever seen. It stands out from the show's already great writing, and it gives us plot developments that really drive home and solidify the events of the first two seasons. Yes, TGP can be silly and lighthearted a lot of the time, but there's a powerful philosophical and emotional story happening too, and the storytelling in this episode takes it to a new level. All the concepts and themes brought up and developed over the first two seasons, about the nature of the soul, becoming a better person, etc., are tackled head-on in this episode as our characters are literally getting a second chance to be better people. And it looks like they were becoming better people... for a while. But it was Michael (the demon who used to torture humans professionally) who worked out the secret: that they became better people by having each other in their lives. It's such a phenomenal story, and honestly with how well they tell it I'm shocked it fit into 22 minutes. I could go on and on, but I'd just be repeating myself. A genuine 10/10 episode

This is such an incredible show for so many reasons, but one of the things that always astounded me was the way that I truly could never predict where it was going to go next.

No one mentioned this, but Ted Danson (The actor who plays Micheal) played the bartender in Cheers for 11 seasons. It's an old show so not everyone gets the significance, but those who are familiar with Cheers loved seeing him behind the bar again.
