Hello all, quick note first. Thank you to everyone that has sent lovely comments/messages following my update video. It helped more than you know. Luckily I had this video recorded so all I needed to do was edit it & upload it. I will be filming again when I feel up to it. Janet is a true MVP. Love her so much. This show seems to be really amping up, it feels a lot more, weighty now we know it's coming to an end. Stakes are higher. The Judge is on form as always & I can see the passion in everyone's eyes-even Seans haha.

So, I was quite miserable when I started watching this show, grieving a giant loss, seeing no point in life really. It helped me to restart and to want to be and live better. I'm much happier with who I am today living by these values but I still struggle and fail sometimes so I commented on 4x06 with that in mind. We all have a past, a bunch of behaviors to which we were exposed (especially as kids) that ends up impacting our behavior one way or another. I grew up around people that were quick to judge, that often engaged in self-loathing, that snapped in anger, so there was/is a lot to unlearn. Like the Brent type, these people don't work on getting better, either because they think they don't need it, or because they think they're not worthy. With my mistakes, I try to examine what went wrong and what I can do better next time, then move on from them. With other people's mistakes, I try to understand what my best move is, to help or not to engage at all, and to find peace in the fact that they're being who they can be. And sometimes I just snap like I did yesterday. But it happens less and less, and that's what matters. The problem with Chidi's duty to always help everyone is he's miserable. And that's bad too. By the way, there's another aspect about mistakes which are new mistakes. New mistakes means we're trying new things and that's good (within reason). We gotta risk making them. I used to avoid new things, like writing these longwinded comments, risking them going public. 😅 If you find yourself looking for a healthy distraction during these tough days, check out their podcast. Such a big comment and I didn't even touch on a fundamental aspect of the mistake thing so I'll just quote Frozen: "People make bad choices if they're mad, or scared, or stressed"

Yes indeed....stakes are getting high. You're correct that this show is very rewatchable. There is so much great dialogue and interaction between these characters and their surroundings. I binged this show solo a couple years ago and then did a slower re-watch with my boyfriend a few months later and enjoyed it just as much, if not more the second time. Now watching for the third time with you I'm still noticing things, especially when there's so many great comments from this group that nicely point out some details that weren't as obvious to me. So glad you're loving this show so much. Thank you for sharing with us.

I haven’t been getting notifications of videos 😬. Oh well, now I’ve got a few to binge. You’re obviously ahead of this episode now but every episode from here on out is so good. This is one show that goes out on a great note. They do it so well. I can’t wait to see your reactions to it. This episode is a bit emotional with the speeches but there is so many more emotional episodes ahead of you.
