Hello All!

What a great episode and Trubel seems so interesting to me, there's a lot of potential here it feels like! I'd love to learn more about her tbh. Juliette is a legend how she takes all this in her stride at this point. Nick seems excited by getting to know another Grimm too, nice to see.

Hope you enjoy the reaction folks. Have a lovely week everyone! Thank you for the constant love & support!

Much love

Dakara x

did they shun shaun more because he is the offspring of an affair? Like he mother wasnt married to the king, so a bastard half royal? But now times have changed and they have less heirs so they need diana to replace people who have been killed or not had children of their own?

The Mad Titan

The way I figured it, they didn't like Shaun because he was a zauberbeist, and because he was a bastard, but that all came from the queen. Now that the queen was dead, bobody had it out for him other than for stuff about the key business. The king really likes hexenbeists so was thrilled to have one in the family, and after losing his other son, along with a few nephews, he was also happy to have a granddaughter in the family. Somehow everyone also knew that she was supposed to change the world somehow. Theeu don't really say how they new other than she was already displaying her powers. Their lore also says the a hexenbeist that was created midlife vs being born a hexenbeist makes the created one much stronger. Combine that with the fact that Adalind was pregnant while doing the ritual kinda gives Diana the powers of a natural born wesen, and the created one. One other thing they did was they had Adalind rub that glass tub of blood goo from the ritual all over her belly everyday to supercharge it was just like overkill, on top of overkill. So as far as the king goes, what's not to love. He'll move heaven and earth to raise that child with the rest of the royal family. Sorry so long, but that's the what I feel like they were trying to convey.

The scene at the beginning where Adalind went to Nick and Juliette was really intense and I got a bit teary eyed, even though I know Diana is safe. Producers, can I get a warning light if you're going to emotionally assault me in the first few minutes? Please and thank you. I thought the same thing, Dak, that she would be important to the episode or even the series. New Wesen? Connected to the Royals? That fight scene in the park was pretty cool, and I think you might be right about her being a Grimm. There's no way a regular, everyday person could take out three Wesen (that we know of). I still can't believe the weird turnaround in Adalind's relationship with Nick and, in particular, Juliette. Would you have ever thought you'd see Adalind sleeping on their couch? I knew that was a dream right away, but it was really a nightmare. I can't imagine someone taking my newborn child away to some unknown place. I would've had a panic attack followed probably by a heart attack. The parent/child relationship is sacred and I'd be the happiest man in prison if someone did something to my child. GRIMM CONFIRMED. Of course, I already knew that. By the way, I haven't seen you so excited by an "I called that!" moment in quite awhile. You almost vibrated out of your chair. 😄 I really like the fact that she doesn't know she's a Grimm as that's an interesting take on it, but can you imagine that? Seeing terrifying things every day? That's a no from me. 😉 Look, I don't blame her for not wanting to go in a weird, tiny trailer in a creepy trailer park with two male strangers while handcuffed, but the realization that she isn't crazy after all and her rushing in there had me well up a bit and put a big smile on my face. I'm getting the feeling that she will look at Nick like Buffy looks at Giles: father figure. Trubel is an intriguing character and looks very cool. I was eagerly awaiting your reaction to this one. Can't wait for the next one, thanks Dak!

Why Diana and not Sean, or Sean and Diana is a really good question when it comes to the Royals. The way I see it is this: 1) Renard is a literal bastard, as in he's the illegitimate son of the King. In real world history illegitimate children of the Monarch weren't typically welcomed into the Royal fold, they may be mirroring that idea here. 2) The Royals spent a good deal of time trying to kill Renard and his Hexenbiest mother. Granted from what Prince Eric indicated that was more due to the Queen's own vendetta, but it still doesn't bode well for good relations. Remember Price Eric hinted that Renard could rejoin the family, and Renard responded by setting him up to be assassinated after his half brother tried to interfere with Nick. We can presume the King was aware of this turn of events, and probably taking note of Renard's response. 3) Renard is a Zauberbiest, and considering there didn't appear to be anything on them in Nick's Grimm books (remember Rosalie had to explain to Nick that Renard wasn't a Hexenbiest) we can assume that Zauberbiests are rare. Seeing the way Renard holds his own against not just Nick (a Grimm), but also other wesen, when he himself is only half wesen, we can also probably assume that Zauberbiests are strong, maybe even stronger than Hexenbiests. With that in mind, the Royals may not entirely trust that they have enough information on what to expect from a Zauberbiest as opposed to a Hexenbiest, at least not so far as to do anything much other than make a casual offer of rejoining the family through Prince Eric (and we know how well that turned out). 4) Renard has aligned himself with the resistance. From a purely practical stand point the Royals might be looking at that and thinking they now need to get someone, or something, equally as powerful on their side. And what better option than a supercharged Hexenbiest that they can manipulate from an early age.

Eric and sean have both said in the past that eric’s mom is the one who chased them away for the affair, but she is no longer alive they said.
