I’m baaaaaaaaaack. It’s been a long long while, but I wanted my first video back to finally close the book on the Zeebo. And I’ve allllmost done it. Sorry, video ended up getting long winded which means this is only part 1. And part 2 is coming up soon! Hopefully in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime, enjoy! And as always, let me know if there’s any mistakes!

Derek

Welcome back Uncle Derek, it's great to see you again!

It is always a lovely boost to my baby brain seeing my name in credits

I don't really understand your complain about Iron Sight. You say a "golf-like" meter like in the iOS version would make the game a lot better, but the Zeebo version has both the blue dotted line and the golf-like meter right? Great video nonetheless, like you said we really need to preserve this kind of video game history. Can't wait for part 2!

Valora Inverse

Heck yeah, good to see you back in the saddle! Though, goddamn, that submarine joke broke me hard (in a good way), had to pause the video a bit to get my bearings back. Also hey, never knew Derek liked SRPG stuff, neat!

So I did some digging on archive.org, and it looks like Z-Credits were sold in blocks of 2000, 3000 and 5000 and each Z-Credit was basically 1 centavo, so 2000 was R$20,00. The Real is worth about 20 cents today, but in 2001 it traded much higher, at about 60 centavos to the dollar. So RE4 would have cost you about fifteen bucks USD at a price of 2490 Z-Credits.

So I saw that video in my Youtube subscriptions feed and assumed it was just one of those compilations some Youtube channels do, where they make one big video for people to have on in the background, of a series of videos edited together. Did not realize this was a full new video. I will try yo remember to watch it soon! Also I unsubscribed from all Patreons many months ago, and didnt actually realize you had stepped away due to health/etc. Just tonight I needed a podcast to listen to and thought Oh yeah lets see what the new SSFP episode is, only to see the last one was in April! So I re-subscribed here to checkout the feed and learn the details. Glad to hear you're doing okay! I want you to know I did not unsubscribe because of the haitus, and am not just re-subscribing for a short time , or unsubscribing if you dont upload. I am simply subscribed again for the forseeable future, regardless of circumstances.
