This was an EGG CONTROLLER REQUEST from EGG CONTROLLER Kirkland Green, who told me that the people want to know more about me and my thoughts. I don't think this is going to fit in on the public channel at this moment, so it's a patreon exclusive video.

And yes, this does mean I'm finally at the point where I'm starting to knock out these EGG CONTROLLER requests. It depends on the specific request, but you should see them coming out regularly now.

Did we share any favorite games of all time?

MYSHIFTKEYISBROKE

My gift to you, our take on Mega Man 2 — complete with valuation of building Dr. Wily’s castle in present day dollars. Or at least when we recorded the episode. https://kite.link/megaman2

Christopher Huber

Oh let's fuckin' go. I got so excited I messed up the captcha

Christopher Huber

Oh sorry I got excited, now that I made it to the end of the video my five favorite video games are: Ocarina of Time Doom Eternal Superliminal Banjo Kazooie Halo 2 or 3... it's a tossup. Honorable mentions: Portal, Alien Isolation, Resident Evil 2 and 3 remakes

Seth Peacock

The mountain dew analogy was a really good way to verbalize how EarthBound feels so different but also so much better than so many of it's immitators

Seth Peacock

Top o' the knoggin Super Paper Mario Doki Doki Literature Club Hollow Knight Super Monkey Ball 2 Majora's Mask

sagaevan

this is a very hard topic to nail down lol easiest to do it in no order i think the games that mean the most to me are bayonetta oddworld abe's oddysee/exoddus (don't make me choose) silent hill 3 night in the woods no straight roads

Brandon William

damn Superliminal has a User Score of 9.6 on Metacritic, I haven't even heard of it! and how much better is Eternal to the first new Doom?

Christopher Huber

Superliminal is a quick play-through. Think of it as a spiritual successor to Portal with a similar feel. First-person puzzle solving, wonderful jazz piano soundtrack. I have never played Doom 2016. I always knew of Doom and played the very first one on Xbox Arcade way back when. When 'The Only Thing They Fear is You' basically became a meme along with the rest of the soundtrack I got curious. I genuinely didn't expect it to impact my current life so much lol. It's like injecting an IV of testosterone and playing John Wick. Really leans into the idea of "One man army."

Music quality is a big part of it for me but here are 5 that come to mind: 1. Chrono Trigger 2. Undertale/Deltarune 3. A Link Between Worlds 4. Sonic 3 & Knuckles 5. Donkey Kong Country Returns: Tropical Freeze

in no particular order: -minecraft -pokemon white -botw -twilight princess -league of legends

RADIATION ISLAND #3 LET'S GOOO Anyway, after trying to remember and rating every game I've played, I've come to this top 5 game ranking list: 1) Twilight Princess (original or HD) 2) Breath of the Wild 3) Monster Hunter: World (with or without Iceborne) 4) Wind Waker HD 5) Skyward Sword (original or HD) No, I will not apologize for 4/5 of these being Zelda games. It's just the way it is. Honorable mention to Ghost of Tsushima, Kingdom Hearts III, Minecraft, etc

Robert Stammitti

Quite a list! Wasn't aware The Witness had that kind of a rep but I'm not really keyed into the gaming discourse and knowing what I know about Jon Blow I guess it tracks. Beautiful game though (but I'm a dummy and could not complete it). My at this very second top five: 1. Super Mario 64 - I think your (many [many]) videos about it pretty much nail what's appealing about it, it has a very particular atmosphere and playability that just doesn't really feel matched by any other 3D platformer (Odyssey is a solid runner up though, could've been on this list in a different day) 2. Fez - Speaking of intolerable game developers! No matter what you could say about Phillip the Fish, he made a masterpiece, have never felt so utterly moved and staggered by a video game's gradual way of teaching you how to play it and experience it. Really feels like something special. 3. Resident Evil 4 - Immaculate vibes, castle is a top tier stretch of any game, unbelievably replayable, plus Mercenaries is endlessly fun, just a perfect game (I have never played RE1-3/Code Veronica, again, I'm dummy) 4. Minecraft - I dunno, just kind of indisputable imo, a game that you can basically play in any way you want, looks perfect, easy to just sit and stare at the sunrise / sunset, gorgeously melancholy, feels like a microcosmic analysis of the development and decadence of civilization and progress, etc., perfect game. I do not care about a lot of the ways people play it but that's one of the best and most interesting things about it! 5. Ocarina of Time - Been really wanting to replay this recently, especially because of your recent Zelda videos. Majora's Mask is of course another solid contender and obviously a masterpiece in its own right but on this particular day I'm feeling the pure epic hero's journeyism of Ocarina over the devastating existentialism of Majora.

Robert Stammitti

oh man Dead Rising is a great call. Never played the sequels but the experience of 100%ing the OG Dead Rising is definitely one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had

Wide Dogg Studios

No particular order: Soulsborne series (if I have to pick a single game, I won't). Playing DS1 blind genuinely taught me how to be endlessly patient, and appreciate struggle. Pathologic 2 Slay the Spire? I guess? I think it's the only game I ever platinumed but the idea of opening it now is making me feel sick. Need for Speed Most Wanted (the gamecube one, not the remake I think they did?) Tony Hawks Underground

Jonas Pedersen

In no particular order Disco Elysium Shenmue II Yoshi's Island Majora's Mask Mother 3

AntiMS

I'm sure there's at least one in here that basically nobody who reads this has ever heard of. Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (the singleplayer campaign) Breath of the Wild SimCopter Blaster Master Crossfire MMORPG

Lea Biste

Right now? Hmm 1. Twilight Princess 2. Skyrim 3. Assassin's Creed 3 4. Mario 64 5. GTA: San Andreas

Josh Miller

I'm astonished (and maybe even a little hurt?) that he didn't put a single Legend of Zelda game up there. I know he makes a lot of content about them because they're so popular, but it's nice to see him talk about games that he wants to, not because he thinks they'll get views. I'd say my top 5 favorite games are: 1. LoZ Twilight Princess 2. LoZ Breath of the Wild 3. Super Mario Galaxy 4. Loz Ocarina of Time 5. Cars for PS2 I definitely grew up on Zelda, with my first Loz game being Twilight Princess right when the wii first came out, so that game has a very special place in my heart. I've replayed it so many times, and even attempted (and pulled off!) some glitches from eggbusters for it! watching youtube videos of twilight princess in like 2014 was how I first discovered Austin, so it has doubly emotional importance to me. I also threw Cars up there because my brother and I played the absolute shit out of that game way before we even had a wii, so there's a ton of nostalgia for it.

Horsethe

Hell yeah mine will be super easy, formatting will be hard. 1) a link to the past. 2) super metroid. 3) donkey kong country 2. 4)binding of isaac/hades/any roguelike. 5) whatever smite or apex legend game my friends are willing to play with me.

Horsethe

In my rush I forgot that stardew valley needs to be on this list. Just stick it any where

JRaak

Your check-in/let's play/whatever you call it of Earthbound from when you were doing a podcast with Jack and Aysha is still one of my favorite pieces of video game content. You and Jack got really into that game and expressed your feelings in a real way.

MAIMEDW0LF

1.Twilight princess 2. Banjo Tooie(not kazooie. love both tho) 3. Kirby 64 4. Alice Madness Returns 5. Spyro (old and the redone!)

Kirkland Green

In no particular order God of War FFX DragonQuest VIII Zelda OoT Fifa

Robert Stammitti

cannot believe I left off Symphony of the Night. I guess Fez fills the Metroidvania hole but...I should've included SotN lol. This is why these lists are hard and not real

Carl Philipp Förster

Do you have some kind of wrinkly foil on your mac? My games in no order: GTA Vice City Halo 2 Jet Set Radio Future Age Of Empires 2 Majoras Mask

Brian Walters

I haven't thought about this in ages DOOM (1993) Fallout 2 Elden Ring Either StarCraft or Warcraft III - You can't really play either of them today, but both were very formative. Sonic 3 & Knuckles - The music slaps
