Graywall Campaign and Returning Character Poll! (Patreon)

Greetings, patrons!

The poll has ended and our next Frontiers campaign arc is Into the Labyrinth, set in the city of Graywall. For those who don't know it, Graywall is the second largest city in Droaam. It is an actively expanding city inhabited by all manner of Droaamites; due to its proximity to the Brelish border, it is also home to eastern merchants, renegades, and brigands. The governor is a mind flayer named Xor'chylic, and you want to stay of his radar.

Our story begins at The Bloody Tooth, a tavern in the Bloodstone district of Graywall (briefly glimpsed in the opening chapter of the novel The Queen of Stone!). Our cast of characters will be drawn from the staff and regulars of the Bloody Tooth. Over the next few weeks, we'll iron out the details. Is the primary bouncer a troll or a gargoyle? Is the beloved entertainer a harpy songbird or a medusa with a chorus of snakes? Who is the mysterious stranger who sits at the back? We're still on the Western Frontier and we're still going to be drawing on the same tropes and themes that inspired Quickstone—but now we're on the other side of the Border Road.

We're going to have a series of polls over the next few weeks to establish characters, details, and other things I'd normally deal with in session zero. These polls will be FAST, so check back early and often! To begin with, let's consider our RETURNING CHARACTERS. There's a few characters from Quickstone who might make their way to Graywall. Who do you most want to see? Ja'taarka or Essra will both fit right in at the Bloody Tooth; Jane or Vael will draw more attention. You can pick as many answers as you want, but at least for now, only one of these characters will be part of the regular cast!

Thanks for voting, and let's get this show on the road. Also, I'm planning on having a LIVE Q&A on Graywall and Droaam sometime in the next seven days -- I'll have a time for that soon!
