Sometimes questions that seem fairly inconsequential take on a life of their own. Take quaggoths. They're one of the countless monstrous humanoids of D&D, noted for being adorably fuzzy and especially aggressive, with a surprise twist in having psionics. But as I started to answer the question I found myself uncovering a dark chapter of Aereni history and considering an interesting origin for their psionic abilities -- a parallel to the kalashtar tied to their shared rage. And furthermore, I realized that for people with no interest in quaggoths, these same ideas could be applied to the Gaa'aram orcs of Droaam, making the concept relevant to Frontiers of Eberron. And so: Quaggoths! Thanks for your support!

Monsters of Eberron: Quaggoths and the Gaa'aram

The Quaggoth as depicted in the 2014 Monster Manual Frontiers of Eberron is out on the DM's Guild, and I'm going to be writing some supplemental articles tied to Quickstone and the Western Frontier...

I’ve always liked Quagoths, especially after the module Escape from the Abyss where the party has an insane Quagoth who believes themselves to be a lost elven prince. Cool to see the adapted and added to Eberron

This is awesome! Very tight ties to the lore of Aerenal with potential for quaggoths to pop up nearly anywhere and an interesting character as more animalistic than most species. Thanks, Keith! I'm wondering how a Tolaen PC might react to learning their true history... or if a kalashtar PC might be able to calm the trauma of the Rage, and to what scale.

Great! Hope sometimes we may know something about nagas in Eberron!
