Hi Everyone!

As you know, I'm working on an Eberron hardcover with WotC. The deadlines for that have kept me from having time to write an article on the Mockery; the Dark Six articles require a fair amount of time and thought, and I haven't been able to carve that out. However, I don't want to leave the site fallow. So if you have any relatively simple questions or topics, post them below and I'll do some short posts on the site.

Thanks for your support!

Hey Keith, in a May 31, 2012 article on dwarves you mentioned you've got an unpublished Frostfell article waiting around. Any way for us to see that?

What do the Talenta halflings and the Valenar elves have to fight about? They're both pastoral herding cultures separated by an inhospitable desert. Numerous sources mention Valenar incursions looking for a good fight. I understand why players would want to deal with a culture like that, but why would a culture encourage it on one side, and the other side, not discourage it 'with extreme predjudice'?

Good question, and I'll address it further in a Q&A. Bear in mind that the Tairnadal didn't take Valenar because they wanted to raise horses there; they took it as a beachhead from which to launch attacks. They'd rather have a more challenging foe than the halflings; if it was up to them, they'd be fighting Karrnath.

There is a good bit of overlap/synergy between Vadalis magebreeders & the Zik-Trin/Tohr-Kreen lifeshapers/naturebenders of Thaythilor (darksun/Thrikreen of athas). Given that visiting Thaythilor is pretty much a last stop as whatever person & race you used to be, what are the odds that a kreen/Vadalis magebreeding lab partnership might exist in menechtarun since the apparently kreen live there and are immune to the traveler's curse?

What is the quintessential Brelish meal? (Or Audairan, or Thranish, or Talentan ...)

Did half-giants come to Khorvaire during the time of the Sundering or were they less likely to make the crossing than the ogres, humans and such of Sarlona? If they did come, are the Eneko unique to Syrkarn or would Drooam have small pockets? On the subject of Sarlona's races, do the shifters and changelings of Khorvaire recognize their Sarlonan cousins as their people or would an Eldeen Shifter meeting a Tashanan shifter be a little taken aback by their differences? What about a Riedran shifter, are they so indoctrinated that the druidic/ranger shifters of Khorvaire seem an entirely other species? If any race an orc breeds with produces a half-orc, does that mean there are viable half-orc children born to a gnomish or halfing mother?

Due to the conflict of lore regarding Aeren's pronouns between the Dragonshard and Magic of Eberron, would it be plausible to say they're both right, in a way, and that Aeren was genderfluid?

The Sulat League were fire-binders and made up of what I guess would be fire giants or their precursors, were there any cultures of the other elemental giants that had different bindng techniques, an ice cabal of frost giants or similar?

Late to the thread, I know, but have you ever given any though to whether there would be any labour movement on Eberron? Especially given the industrialization implicit in the Cogs, and the oppressive conditions under which the workers live there. Would Daask support it because the workers are their constituents, or ignore it because oppressed people make a better environment for crime? Would the Royal Eyes get involved to undermine Merrix and support Jorlana? Would the Boromar support dock workers in Cliffside, the better to support their smuggling activities? Perhaps with Orien support, while Lyrandar tries to organize the teamsters?
