Thank you to all of you who have joined the Inner Circle. There's a number of new patrons this month, so I wanted to fill you in on the basic situation. At least once a moth I will write a long article, with the subject determined by a poll of all of you. Recent articles on this scope include the Znir Pact gnolls, Dolurrh, and Lamannia. Whenever I have time, I also like to answer shorter questions, such as today's article on show business in Eberron.

I look to you to help me choose subjects for these articles. If you have questions, post them here. If they are questions that can be answered in a few sentences, I may just answer them immediately. If they can be answered in a few paragraphs, they will go on the IFAQ pile. If they can be answered in a few pages, I'll consider them as poll options for upcoming major articles.  If you've already asked a question that hasn't been answered, ask it again now! It helps me to know that the answer is still being sought.

Thanks again for your support!

Two potentially-linked questions: what would likely happen if Kaius was discovered (as a vampire and an imposter), and how likely is Karrnathi civil war in the near future?

What are some of the giants in Khorvaire like? We already know about the fire giant warlord in Droaam, are there any others? Are they peaceful, or tyrranical?

What's the magical item economy like for adventurers? Can dragonshards from one item be repurposed by an artificer for another? Is there a black market for what I assume would have been a huge amount of armor, weapons, and magical martial gear produced and upgraded during the Last War? What does that look like? And how might it impact PCs' gear options and the items carried by powerful NPCs?

I know of Breggor First-King who ruled over the kingdom of Wroat, who were other monarchs that Galifar deposed or brought under his crown during his kingdom's founding?

Matt Brady

On the off-chance that Exploring Eberron doesn't explore this topic... I've previously asked about the trade route from Zarash'ak to eastern Tashana mentioned in Secrets of Sarlona (is it Lyrander licensed or independent, orcs and Marchers or the gnomes of Zilargo, effects it has on the Marcher economy) and I suppose to open this up a bit more, is there a character or flavour to the various trade routes and maritime trade of Eberron (Sharn to Stormreach, Lhazaar to Whitetooth, Lhazaar to Adderport, Lhazaar to Ardhmen, etc), how they might affect characters with the Sailor background?

My question is about fashion and aesthetics. When I describe Eberron to other people I always say that if LotR is Fantasy Medieval Europe, then Eberron is Fantasy WW1 Europe. I say it's steampunk, but with magic. That idea sometimes confuses me though, because alongside trains and engineers you have knights wearing plate armor and riding horses. Do you ever have trouble regarding the base game's focus on the medieval era compared to your own? Any tips or ideas to help someone reconcile the different eras?

1. Nobility & Noble titles - could be a full post elaborating on the general royal structure, or just outlining the system of noble titles used by Galifar and the five nations today. How prevalent is the Aurum amongst the nobility? 2. Labor movements in Khorvaire. 3. What's Droaam's environment like? What are some POI you'd have put on the map if you were redoing it? 4. Thrane adventures - Past editions seemed to only present adventure hooks involving the church's corruption. What other adventures do you imagine happening in Thrane? 5. What do Veteran Support programs look like in Khorvaire? An old Sharn Inquisitive article had issues with land grants to Warforged Veterans, but what do they look like beyond Breland? 6. What's shifter culture like? Past posts and books feel like they've tackled the other races in more depth than our furry friends. 7. What are the next big steps for New Cyre? How run down do you see it?

Given that large super-predators are extant on Khorvaire, magical beasts such as bulette, owlbear, griffons, hydra, chimera and such. Do these creatures menace civilization often or are their ranges more those supposedly wide empty spaces on the map and part of the reason they are so empty and devoid of civilization? Curious as to your opinion on how common these menaces are to Khorvaire society, and how much rural farmers need worry about griffons eating their horses.

Dhakaani that are only coming out of their vaults in recent years. How do they view the Warforged?

Did the Mourning have any effect on the planes that had Cyran manifests zones, ie did it bleed over to the planes from the material?

Zed Bundershot

Who has benefited the most, or who are the top apparent beneficiaries of the creation & existence of the Mournlands?

Mariamow

Do the nations have different dialects? How has language been influenced in Khorvaire?

Jeremy Tollefson

Just to clarify for all you NEW PATRONS out there: by " a few paragraphs" Keith does mean "a few pages," and by " a few pages" Keith means "worthy of a book chapter." :-) Not complaining! I am effusively thankful for the several books-worth Keith has already published on his blogs!

Dominic

I love putting together soundtracks for players. What do the various nations of Khorvaire sound like? What musical styles are good to mine for tracks?

Dominic

More setting-related: what interesting bits of game are there in Frostfell? Frost-giants? Darfallen? Thrym wolves? How would you set games in the tundra?

Joseph Meehan

New question - how often is it that a fiend or cult serves *multiple* overlords?

Jarrod Taylor

Dragonmarks are absent from Sarlona and Xen'drik natives, but do marked heirs who move to either continent still pass along dragonmark potential to their children or does severing the tie to Khorviare sever the chance to manifest a dragonmark as well?

Joseph Meehan

Another new question - Last War House neutrality & logistics lines. My understanding is both Lyrandar and Orien participated in the supply lines of the nation's militaries, not just civilian supplies. Was their neutrality respected? Was that part of the price? Or did attacks happen, probably while trying to disguise the source?

Royals question - were/are harems common in Khorvaire? 3.5 books said the public found Kaius' harem "unusual", which parts are considered unusual?
