I'll be posting Ghost Stories of Eberron tomorrow. I'll also post a lightning round IFAQ at the end of the week to address as many short questions as I can from the list at the beginning of the month. But I want to go ahead and do the next poll to choose the November topic immediately. With that in mind, put your suggestions for a long article topic below! Feel free to suggest old ones (The Mockery, Syrkarn) or entirely new ideas.

Thanks for your support!

I'm not expecting this to be a real article suggestion, since it's so niche, but one of my players has clarified that they want to play a member of House Tarkanan and destroy the Twelve. I'm entirely ok with them doing that, but I'm flummoxed as to how difficult it will be to do so. I know the implications of doing so will be huge, but I'm wondering what methods the Twelve would have if a party waged guerilla warfare against them.

Nathan Abernethy

Drow in Eberron. I know there is stuff out there, but I feel like I have a lot of questions about them.

Parker Wimberly

Can we get info on the Court of the silver tree similar to what you’ve done for other feyspires.

Mariamow

Parliament of Breland

Matt Brady

I'm sorry to be a broken record but... -Syrkarn (information on the final four kingdoms of old Sarlona! Keith's take on this beautiful mysterious landscape! And what would he put here in place of the yuan-ti?) -The Dark Six continued (Devourer! Mockery!) -Tashana Tundra (personal favorite of the Sarlona regions, would love to see Keith's version) -Adar (same as the above!) And then...well basically that's it. I'm happy reading everything and anything. Though perhaps a quick iFAQ placing Blood Hunters, Dunamancy and I guess Lotus Halflings and Pallid Elves too, just so people can go bug Mercer for where Warforged and Kalashtar fit in Wildemount instead...

MajorTotoro

I'd love to see Throneport have a second chance

Sean Quigley

I’d love to see a deeper dive into the Dreadhold. I remember having an issue during the 3.5 years of Dragon magazine about it, but I have no idea what I did with it over the years and it’s such a cool environment. A major prison being utilized by multiple nations, so much political and power intrigue at play there.

Jarrod Taylor

I will also suggest the continuation of the Dark Six articles.

Jasmino

I'd love something about aberrant dragonmarks as I'm currently running an aberrant campaign. Maybe something about aberrant focus items?

Thomas Brøgger

Politics of Breland. Are there political parties and what are their agendas? (I know that there is some unofficial stuff on DMG)

Asmuz

-> Lhaazar Sea from the last poll And two new suggestions of theme. I don't know if both are too much, but seems cool ideas. -> A series of articles about Lhaazar Islands. The idea would be something like the gnomes articles, two minor articles about islands from there for we have more information about them (or at least more than we have now). Which two exacly don't matter for me, the idea is just start to have more information about them. -> A article about unusual daylife from Eberron. We have a lot information about wide magic and psionic daylife in older articles, the idea here would be one about two small niches, wide monster (Droaam) and wide elemental (Lorghalen). The idea is not to be huge and complex article, but some kind of ideas from a DM or a player use as base. I feel that just one would not have too much appeal, but maybe the two together have. And as always, Karrnath: Beyond of the Blood of Vol

- Factories and Industry - Magebred Plants and the Twister of Roots - Syrkarn - The Devourer

David Stanley

I'd like to know more about Halfings outside of Talenta Plains and the Dragonmarked houses.

House Sivis Echoer Station

I'd like to see: ~more information about Shifter Society ~another Dark Six article ~also Fashion

Serpen Thrope

This might be getting too obscure, but I'd be curious how you'd use the Tabaxi and the Rakasta in Eberron to make them distinct. Also, how would you use the Shadow Elves? (not to be confused with Shadar-Kai)

Joseph Blazer

Another nomination for continuing the Dark Six. The Devourer seems apropos for Thanksgiving time. :-)

Sierra

I would adore to see fashion back on the menu, particularly implementing wide magic into fashion.

Kanga

This might be more suitable for an iFAQ, but something on Talentan spirituality/religion that's not the Greensingers would be awesome.

Guy Alter

Options... 1. Children of winter (personal favorite) 2. Lazhar princes and what sets them apart. 3. Warfoged on xendrik

Jeremy Tollefson

Dark Six articles, Throneport, magebred plants, Library Korrenberg, Halflings/Talentans. To add: Dragons and their motivations. Why are they interested in the Prophecy? Why do they oppose the Overlords, and why not toss in their lot with them? Did they have a relationship with the couatl? If Overlords=Khyber and couatl=Siberys, are dragons supposed to represent Eberron's answer? What are the goals of the dragons as a whole, if any? (Besides just as a foil to the Lords of Dust)

Jason PB

As much as I will always back up Asura on fashion, I would also love some other aspects of Eberron society- food, art, music, etc. What makes the nations distinct beyond just politics and war. That said, I also would love to know more about the Eldeen Reaches- Shifter communities, the Wardens and the other drudic sects as, House Vadalis, and what it is like in a society that leans wide primal. And as always, thanks Keith!

FalseAesop

Another super obscure pull from me. Your ol' Dreadhold article and web suppliment mentioned "The Knights of Dol Arrah" as having been instrumental in taking down the Farlnen lich Saeria Lantol and the epic level threat the radiant idol Kotharel the Harvester. Just curious about this order that seems to be less widespread than the Templars of the Silver Flame. And pulling a straight 180, always hope we'll get that The Dark Six: The Mockery article sometime.

Omnificer

Wide Primal - How the Wardens of the Wood, Talenta, Qaltiar, etc make practical use of their connection to Eberron.

Joshua Arft

-The Arcane Congress and other magical institutes

Cliomancer

Maybe a long form question but have the planes of Eberron always reflected contemporary mortal life? Did Thelanis always have a fairy queen before the concept of monarchy? Before mortals built mausoleums was Dolurrh a wilderness strewn with cairns? If technology advanced to 20th century standards would the castles and lines of Shavarath give way to trenches and tanks?

C.K.

I still want more about Lhazaar so I'll keep asking. Could be about princes like others have asked, could be one or two of the island locations that are pretty much island dungeons, heck it could even be an article about the Lhazaar mainland which is quite expansive truth be told. BUT I'd be fine with Syrkarn or that article about Magebred plants and the plant Daelkyr!

Federico Crivellin

Hello everyone! Here below my suggestions for the next long article. General topic : Dragons of the Chamber. 1)How they are studying the Profecy 2) What type of info they are looking for among lesser races and what their agents are doing 3) in your Eberron are there any differences among chromatic and metallic dragons? (in terms of origin, behavior towards lesser races, personal goals, approach toward the Profecy..) 4) in your Eberron there is any famous NPC (e.g. a king, the head of a university, a dragon marked npc) that is actually working for the Chamber? Or their agents are always low profile people? 5) Are the Gatekeeper's observatories still used to study the Profecy? They are still in contact with dragons of the Chamber?

Patrick Nielsen

Wide magic in the Lhazaar Principalities: Are manifest zones and special materials used for all ships, or merely the most prominent ones? Does everyone use cantrips where people in the Age of Sail would have used firearms? And could the use of magic explain why ships seem to generally have smaller crews than those found in our history? Or do you envision the Principalities as being somewhat left behind by the nations in earnest when it comes to everyday magic and magically reinforced infrastructure?

Baron Breakfast

My suggestion this month is hags, more specifically the hags other than Sora Kell and her daughters. Who are the hags from outside of Droaam, and what do they want? Thanks

Thomas Fletcher

I'd love some more stuff on Khoravar, in particular how a Khoravar community might differ from a human one.

Yordi Christiaanse

- Sphinxes of Eberron - Library of Korranberg - More information about the islands of the Lhazaar Principalities/Lhazaar Sea. Perhaps a series of articles in this case.

Reighndragon

I would like to know how you would convert an adventure path not set in Eberron to the Eberron world. I'm thinking of using the Zeitgeist adventure path, set in its own steampunk noir world and use it in the Eberron world. This adventure path is focused on a narrative focused on intrigue and as such very suitable for Eberron. A link to the Zeitgeist adventure path: https://zeitgeistadventurepath.com/

Matthew Boudreau

Definitely Lhazaar Principalities or, as someone else suggested, war forged in xendrik

Will Robbins

Centaurs in Eberron - I haven't found much talking about their cultures or clans. The differences between the dragonshard focused magic of Khorvaire and the Planar focused magic of Sarlona Khorovar search for a homeland/nation. What are they doing to pursue this goal and who is leading the efforts,

Jennifer

Arcane research: what does it look like? What sorts of supplies, facilities, equipment, personnel are needed? Where are those things sourced from? What are the unanswered questions in arcane science, and who's interested in figuring them out? Are there codes of ethics for researchers, and if so who enforces them?

Alex Perez

For November topics, I'd definitely like to see the treatment on the Mockery. InMyEberron, I have merfolk in the lakes and deeper rivers of Khorvaire, and these folk are engaged daily with the people of Khorvaire as far as trade and services. In Exploring Eberron, merfolk have arrived a couple of centuries ago and mostly maintain the manifest zones of the Thunder Sea. I know the treatment of undersea peoples in Exploring Eberron primarily dealt with the Thunder Sea (and the topic is big, you added A LOT just with Sahuagin alone). But do you see any underwater populations in the lakes and rivers of Khorvaire (whether merfolk or not)? It seems lakes may provide a safe and stable environment for populations to immigrate to over time (but I'm not an expert on the movements of undersea people). I think this might be bigger than an IFAQ unless the answer is "Yeah, I can see that." lol. On a similar note, many fiends, all dragons, and couatl can fly and these entities ruled the world for eons and battled each other. Given their extensive magic and the existence of flying races that came after them, is there room to expand Eberron upward as well and discover ancient fortresses in the clouds? Mighty strongholds of fiends, dragons, and giants alike that are either in ruin and settled by flying creatures, or haunted with ancient magic? I just imagine that a lot of the war between dragons and fiends probably took place in the sky and I wonder if there is some leftover infrastructure there high up that may now be used by other creatures. Perhaps they are obscured by cloudscapes or magic, but as Lyrandar experiments with airship routes, they may begin to discover some. As I type this I'm also imagining some ancient Dragon/Couatl fortress above the Towering Woods, a staging outpost just outside the Demon Wastes, now inhabited by swiftwing shifters, dragonhawks and giant eagles and owls and perhaps other winged creatures. An extensive network of rope bridges and rope ladders could now connect this sky fortress to one of the Titans (the trees) still standing in the Towering Woods. Alternatively, imagine a Talenta rider soaring on their glidewing and discovering an ancient Rhakshasa stronghold, perhaps floating high above the Boneyard. Dragons that assaulted the stronghold and failed were cast down to die tortured and ruinous deaths in what would become the Boneyard below. Ok, kind of got ahead of myself there but that's the idea. Could be where the fabled winged kobolds are.

Anything more about the Astral Plane/Githyanki would be cool! OR literally anything more than a footnote about the overlord-sized cosmic horrors lurking in Xoriat that dwarf the daelkyr , I'd love to hear more about them.

Sean Kane

Sea folk stories of Ebberon. What are the stories of the people who live and breath on the seas around Khovaire and the adjoining continents. What do they tell of the sea folk and monsters, of the rumors of other civilizations under the sea and far away?

Dimitri Zanella

Hi Keith, as I look forward to Eberron Confidential and more details on Project: Gold's Fool,I share my wishlist: 1. Orcs. I would like to have more details on the origin of this race, history, myths, legendary heroes and the realms of the Orcs. We know that Vvaraak educated them on Druidism, that their kingdoms collapsed leaving room for the Dar empire, but I'm so eager to delve into the history of one of D&D's most iconic races. 2. Famous prisoners of Dreadhold. I'm preparing an adventure set in Dreadhold. In my Eberron, in the depths, before the Kundarak mines, there is the maximum security level in which the 13 most dangerous criminals in the world are locked up. In addition to the 7 canonical prisoners (Haldren ir'Brassek, Briar the Greensinger, Kotharel, Saeria Lantol, Gaven d'Lyrandar, Melysse Miron, Prisoner Deep Fourteen, Kolas Verdgrin) do you have any other NPCs to propose? 3. The Cities of Cyre. I'd like to have a description of the cities of Cyre before The Day of Mourning. In particular I would like to know your version of Making and Thronish. 4. Eldritch Machines. I would like you to describe me two original Eldritch Machines. I would like an idea to build an adventure on it. Thank you for everything and know that many of us from Italy appreciate everything you do!

Eric Smith

Lhazaar Principalities and the various roles on ships as well as how they use magic. How you see Artificers both as adventurers and influencers. Kethelrax the Cunning. How Lamplighters affect the world and how they are seen. Is there something like professional wrestling?

Federico Crivellin

Hello Dimitri, I'm Italian too :) very interesting your suggested topics! Questions for you: where did you take info about the 7 canonical prisoners of Dreadhold?

Zed Bundershot

Howdy & thanks, Rivers & lakes (& canals?) of Khorvaire - as with Alex Perez; what interests you as different adventuring possibilities between Mirror Lake & Silver Lake, etc. Which ones have way too much smuggling or mournland monstrosities splashing around in them? Are there any refugee aquatic or sub-aquatic groups that would make a damper version of New Cyre? Does Vadalis use Lake Galifar for aquaculture the same way they use the Eldeen Reaches for agriculture? Library of Korrenberg (I start to picture it as UC Berkeley if it was administered by the Stasi, but that gets confusing real quick). Gatherhold, does you use it more as a Dodge City/St. Louis kind of town, or as a small permanent population, seasonally over-run & swallowed by a vast tent city of tribes migrating in for the winter?

Dennis Olesen

Magebred plant and more about halflings

Ginge

Is there any type of Five Eyes/UKUSA cooperation happening within the Five Nations? While the Last War may be too fresh for anything nearing that level of officialness or friendliness, but being descendants of Galifar, I could see unofficial tit-for-tat arrangements, like Prince Oargev alerting the King's Citadel to a discovered plot of the Lord of Blades discovered by adventurer's retained by Oargev, in exchange for something like a free supply of quality building materials or something to benefit the refugees of New Cyre, possibly also support to those same adventurers getting ready for another penetration of the Mournland. I could even see some functionaries of the various governments or private citizens working together unofficially in pursuit of what they see as a greater good, peace or security or safety of all their peoples.

Alex Perez

Hi Keith, I don't know if you're still taking suggestions, and thank you for answering my questions up above regarding lake/river merfolk and sky castles. Would holy places throughout Khorvaire and pilgrimages be appropriate for an article, along with saints and martyrs through the ages? I think it's an interesting concept of a character going on a pilgrimage to visit a holy site that has been unavailable for the last hundred years or so due to the War. We know of Tira and the pillar of Silver Flame, but what about for other faiths?
