Additionally, I do love that Suguha is similar to Asuna in that she knows enough popular movies to make some movie references with him to show off their rekindled sibling relationship. Lastly, Yui’s story about the battle with MacAfee was perfect, she truly is his daughter. I am sad though that Kirito didn’t call Kayaba out for cribbing that ending part from Ready Player One with the golden egg, though I’m glad the reasoning was basically kept the same as that’s one of the few bits I did like from Alfheim

This series felt like experiencing SAO again the same way I did when I was 14, but instead of the shitty writing and incest it's a truly heartwarming Story that takes the best parts of the original and gives it a new context. It would have been so much more satisfying, since she's the one who's been suffering his perving this whole time - that was Kawahara's bad writing though, not SWE's. wow, one more episode until we are done with the alfheim arc. I know technically two seperate arcs or whatever but it really does feel like this next one will the be the end of an era 12 years in the making. So much love, passion, and creativity went into this to get us to this point. I know I'm just a lurker most of the time, but it's honestly been a pleasure laughing and crying with you all. It feels silly as a grown man to say this, but this series has genuinely meant a lot to me, and is one of my favorite pieces of media. The fact it was a passion project made by fans back when content creation was just a niche hobby Vs a viable career for all but a lucky few only makes it more special.

Mad props to ya'll for turning this arc's worst scene by far into an absolute joy to sit through. Also the nudity filter was absolute genius and I'm still giggling over it. 10/10; best 5 bucks I ever spent.
