I didn't have a good WIP for today, so just for fun I tried to see what happens if I describe our main characters to one of the AI generators. (Don't worry, I'm not planning to use any, this is just for fun!)

There's a big discussion in the Art community at the moment and personally (after already trying some other stuff) I think that:

a) It's a bit too soon to fear that AI could steal your job. At least if you're a half-decent artist. The prompts you give to an AI are often misinterpreted and no matter how hard you try, you just can't teach it some things (like Lydia's snake tattoo)

b) Copyright is still a big issue. Some arguments involve AI learning like a human would, but the computer is often taking pixel by pixel from other images, which includes watermarks, faces, etc. I typed in "superhero" once and immediately got a guy with a big "S" on his shirt. Surely that won't trigger anyone in the industry, right? I really understand people who do not want their art "misused" in this way.

The outputs were interesting (to say the least).

The first three pictures you can see up above were the best outputs for Lydia, Carlotta and Tina in portrait style. Of course, the snake tattoo is a bust and the white fringe on Carlotta was completely ignored. Tina's armor also looks rather off.

Pic 4 was ... interesting. At least it took "white fringe" into account this time, but we'll say the AI was "experimentally artistic" with it.

Pic 5: Looks actually nice at a first glance (though, hello, AI, I said "white shirt"), but if you look a bit closer and see the artifacts at her right arm and in front of her face ... I just can't even tell what the hell it is.

Pic 6: WTF, AI? Well, at least we got a braid and a white short and a bit of tattoo, but ... well, you can see the problem. Secondary, the hair is also worse than it looks at a glance.

Pic 7: Well yes, the AI takes fantasy armor for women most of the time, so there's more skin than Tina should have. But a bigger concern: Can someone please teach this woman how to hold a sword? Also I did mention a ponytail, but hey, can't win them all.

All in all? I'm really glad we have Elena - and also Albo, Valeria and Chiara. I don't foresee any changes on that for quite a while, still.

Taken on their own merit as fantasy women, they're not *too* bad but as our heroines, nope. I notice also, both here and elsewhere, it tends to make fantasy women overly busty.

In the first image - the face slants forward starting just below the nose. Looks odd.

I can think of a YouTuber who'd have very specific things to say about Fake-Tina's armor. Carlotta's supposed to have fringe? Since when?

Pic #7 looks she’s taking the most mind-blowing shit ever known to woman-kind
