Lydia already had one run-in with "The World's End", she's not looking forward to another.

(In case you don't remember Vago, he was first introduced in strip 186.)

Let's hope this captain fairs better than the last one.

well what's a reputation of fear is for if not to make people surrender without a fight?

Todd Ellner

Weird. Pirates used fear as a way of making their jobs easier. "Give up the goods or die," and they tended to get the goods without any cost. Heck, you might get a few disgruntled sailors to sign on. "We will kill.all of you. No quarter given," means a very expensive fight to the last every time with the chance that YOUR powder magazine might get torched off. And that's assuming the target and all its cargo don't end up on the bottom of the ocean. Vago would be the brokest pirate on the seas. This is fantasy, but disbelief is being suspended by the neck until dead, dead, dead.

Todd Ellner

And while we're talking about piracy use the Power of the Youtubes to find "The Last of Barrett's Privateers"

Ken Malidore

Between Tina, her horse, and the others they should be able to capture the pirate's ship. Right?
