A pomodoro is a 25-minute block of focused work.  I promised to do at least 10 per week when the first funding goal was reached.

Target: 10 pomodoros Achieved: 39 pomodoros

Pomodoros I-XI (today)

Writing and testing safe house debriefings.  (Debriefings complete)

I was really hoping to get the next release out today, but I'm out of time.  :-(  I have meetings for my real job all day tomorrow, but I guarantee a release later in the week.

Afterwards, we'll move to the "smaller, more frequent releases" model and hopefully that will be a big improvement in the way this thing gets done.

Good luck on that meeting and don’t sweat if the release is coming a week later is ok, real job hast to have priorities

Almost there! I know the update will be amazing! Hopefully the new release schedule will help you with this "over-promise and under-deliver" scheduling thing. (Not trying to be a dick...)

Maybe you could release where you are at as a beta? And over the next week add the better flirting and small rewrites while bug fixing?

You're not being a dick, that's what I'm hoping for too. :-) I really hope you guys like the next release.

I'd love to but it's not really working as one coherent package at the moment, we have several separate branches that need to be integrated. (e.g., the debriefings I finished today call variables from the casting couch scene, but those two bits of code sit in separate branches at the moment - they don't exist in the same game yet.) This is another bad side effect of us working on so many separate things at the same time – moving to smaller faster releases will make it a lot easier to push Betas out during development.

Have you tried using the MoSCoW method (meaning "Must have, Should have, Could have, and Won't have")? I think that it's a great way to prioritize tasks.

Tegan

I've waited this long with great anticipation. I am sure I can survive another week. Looking forward to it.

I remember this game back at its first release. I hope this next release stirs a bit more interest, the potential of this game is pretty up there.
