Everyone (especially me) wants the game to get to Bangkok as soon as possible.  Before we do that, we need to overhaul 3 systems:

  • The avatar needs an upgrade
  • The random NPC generator needs an upgrade
  • The Sex Engine needs an upgrade

Because the Sex Engine relies on NPCs, I want to upgrade it after we’ve upgraded the NPC generator.  Therefore, the choice is whether to upgrade the avatar or the NPC generator next.


Option 1: Avatar

This involves:

  • Implementing a symmetry fix created in August 2018 by our illustrator Victoria
  • Redrawing all clothes to fit the fixed avatar
  • Revisiting eye colour & makeup colours
  • Implementing variable avatar heel heights (barefoot, low heels, high heels, stripper heels)
  • Implementing avatar rear view
  • (If possible) implementing different butt shapes
  • (If possible) implementing a “ripped” body type with a six-pack and muscles
  • Implementing selectable facial features
  • Implementing new hair colours & hairstyles
  • Implementing new pubic hairstyles
  • Creating “getting ready” sequences before each Scottish nightclub so you have wardrobe & makeup choices, like in Dubai
  • Implementing the ability for agents with long hair to change hairstyles in dressup scenes


Option 2: NPC generator

This involves:

  • Upgrading the NPC generator so that NPCs have S.U.R.P.S. attributes, secondary attributes, skill sets and Kinks
  • Describing random NPCs in more distinct and memorable ways; picking out vivid facts about them (derived from their S.U.R.P.S. profile), instead of the current “x hair, y eyes, z shirt” model
  • Upgrading the Attraction mechanics so that NPCs have preferences for how they like their women (hair colour, busty vs petite, slutty vs demure, dom vs sub,  etc)
  • Creating Attitude mechanics so that NPCs treat the PC differently depending on their goal with her (e.g. an NPC who wants the PC to become his girlfriend will behave differently in bed from an NPC who Likes Rough Sex and sees her as a one night stand)


Please vote for your preferred option!  Once the results are in I'll produce a detailed sprint plan and estimate a 1.5 release date.

NPC generator sounds like a functional upgrade rather than looks, and it would set the base for the sex engine. Definitely voting for that.

All three system upgrades have to be implemented before we can move on regardless of what gets voted on here, so in the end it doesn't actually matter.

Deamonmaster is not wrong, because as described above, all three topics have to be edited. Nevertheless, I personally voted in favor of Option Two, as it is most likely to produce "visible" results when whole passages change. I would like to remind you of an earlier call from Crush to give him suggestions for various NPCs. In the course of clarity, I would argue for not sending him each proposal individually, but rather a list of 5-10 proposals for NPC's. This also made it easier to discover trends.

I'd prefer if the avatar was fixed first. I also believes that moving directly from the npc generator to the sex engine upgrade would create a more coherent workflow, since they fit together somewhat. Some things in the sex engine could depend on an upgraded avatar, too. Smudges on her makeup, spank marks, cumshots and so on.

Sheol

Unless all cloths are drawn already, or will be drawn when the avatar gets updated, it might be the wisest thing to do that first. So your artist can keep drawing and drawing, even when the system behind the avatar is finished.

Yeah, if there's a possibility I can put a big butt on my agent that's going to win my vote, I'm a typical ass guy I guess. I'm also interested to see how the new Sex Engine turns out when that finally comes about, NPC's being more realistic also sounds like a huge step in the right direction instead of having the same options with everyone, but avatar first I think... All the best!
