If you touch any of the colored lines, it slows you down like a gravel trap. How come?

Thanks for your feedback 👍Let me check this. Any location on the track in particular where I can reproduce this issue ?

Go over any white or dark surface and you’ll get slowed down… they act as a gravel trap. You don’t halt to a stop but it does slow you down. It usually happens when you take too much curb and go outside of it.

That's probably the CARPET surface friction value. Original track set its friction to 70%. Copy/replace your file "assettocorsa\content\tracks\acu_mexico_2021\layout_f1_2026\data\surfaces.ini" with the following one and tell me if it is better? It made it slightly better but now the track markers are gone and a few other things. I'll just wait for the final version when you're done with it. For now -- can you tell me if the "carpet" slowdown thing is IRL too or just your extension? I've seen Iracing replays and they take a lot more curb without penalty or "carpet" style slowdowns. Just curious.

active sections some time react to DRS button and not at other times. No one section has a pattern.

I'm sure you already noticed but Fenryr just released Mexico 2026... imoh, its MUCH better and looks great. The carpet slowdown thing is not here either.
