Poll 26 Results, Poll 27 and This Week (Patreon)

Infantry Firepower won this one- so it's time to pick another WW2 squad. I think the only 'basic' squad left that we haven't covered yet is the Italians and... well, that's a very weird beast. Could be interesting though! If that's not practical then it's time to start on the more specialist squads like Airborne, Fallshirmjaeger, Panzergrenadiers etc etc. We'll see.

More importantly, I'll see if I can actually remember to do the short on time this week: last week I was having so much fun building the briefings for the Marine campaign that I forgot until about 1800.

Speaking of full videos: it's another War Room episode up next and looking at the release schedule, it's going to be hitting mainstream Youtube on the 7th of June so... it makes sense to do something D-Day related.

That should hopefully make it relatively quick and easy- that's at least a subject with a lot of material to go at (no trawling the interwebs trying to find photographs from the early Iran-Iraq War, for instance).

I think it's going to be really interesting to give one of the landing sectors a proper look and to focus in on the tactical challenges facing the assault elements, how they planned to tackle them and how things went on the day. Right now, I'm planning to follow the Hampshires on Jig Green, Gold Beach because they had an interesting (read: bad) time that doesn't get a lot of attention. But we'll see.

That leaves this weeks poll: we're on to Modern Arty/CAS came out on top last time, so they're out of the mix and Armour Penetration is back with Infantry Firepower.
