As hinted at a couple of weeks ago, this is a slightly different War Room episode in that the sources don't tell us an awful lot, but I think it's an interesting peek into the world of timeless military logic.
The map is no doubt inaccurate- terrain changes- and I'm pretty sure the heraldry I used as icons is off the mark, heraldry being complex and changeable, but such is the experience in trying to hunt down images from 650 years ago.
In other news, I am probably going to have a week off next week. I can't actually remember the last time I had a break and some other elements are lining up nicely. That doesn't mean that you guys won't have a video to watch: I managed to crack out a bonus/filler video last weekend, so that's ready to go. And should be pretty interesting!
Beyond that, obviously we're back to Semper Fi Syria and the linkup between the Marines and the Army north of Homs and on the other side of that it's time for another unit guide. After covering T62s, we're back to WW2 so it could fun to find something wacky and wonderful to cover. Or... to do Shermans Part 2: A Million Other Variants. We'll see.
Looming over everything in the not too distant future (is it really mid September already?) is the Winter Turn-by-Turn. I've been picking away at the concept for a while and I think I'm onto something pretty cool, the trick is going to be making it accessible to for everyone... Bit of narrative, bit of a PLANEX, bit of CMO to fill in gaps, all to set up another mini-campaign. Should be fun!
