And phew! Bit of a crunch to get this one done. Funnily enough, the most interesting part was the digital walk-around, which started out as a much more minor thing. I'm not sure if the CM models are best for that though. Could be worth using the high-res ARMA RHS models in future. But it's done. And I did my best to be nice to the BMP-2.

Now that's out of the way, it's back to Syria and the final Marine mission.

those graphics showing the tactics , where is it from? Looked to be a modern source with the high quality graphics compared to the crude graphics from 1970s and 1980s manuals

Just a heads up for youtube - at 4:06 there is a dead body visible coming from the turret of the BMP on the left of the screen - don't want a community guidelines strike!

Oh, so there is. I missed that. Thanks for the head's up! I'm not sure YT's bots are good enough to spot that, we'll see if it gets pinged, at which point I think there might be room within the limited YT editing tools to snip it out or pixellate it. It's not the first time it's happened: IIRC there's a burnt tank commander in one of the images for the US Half Track guide. Nothing happened that time, but it was years ago and in black and white.

So, the BMP is the modern 'truck' of the battlefield. Amphibious, but still just a truck, or 'technical,' given the armament. Maybe a great reserve for an emergency--as in late in the battle? Then again, that leaves a Soviet/Russian force on foot for much of the battle once engagement commences.

Somewhat. It really highlights a lot of problems with the whole concept of IFVs.

I always make the mistake of assuming the BMP2 can do the same amount of work a Bradley can lol

The two authors of that "The Russian Way of War" report are impeccable. It is also sufficiently detailed to serve as a scenario maker guide for CM Black Sea.

Not uncommon! On the surface, they're both IFVs with cannon and ATGMs, and the BMP even has 5 extra millimetres for the cannon.

I believe some of the later BMP variants to be directly adapting to the bornesgruppa approach, most namely the BMP-3. Under this framework protection and sensor overmatch is of little importance as the vehicles are going to be separated from infantry by a long way
